Seems like they added some seats inside the bowl that are shown here. They may not have them for every game.

I don't understand why people like the Frankfort Convention center so much. It was old and outdated. I think players will enjoy playing at a D1 College facility like EKU. Hopefully they use the video board during the games. [ATTACH]63250[/ATTACH][ATTACH]63251[/ATTACH]

 

The Civic Center in Frankfort was the perfect size for an event such as the All A. That's one. The intimacy you got while still playing on a college-sized floor was great, and there's not a bad seat in the house.

 

In addition, the place had history and character. That goes a long way.

 

EKU's McBrayer does not have that, even though it's old too. Those seats in the end zone were always empty after you got past the student section, save for a handful of people (usually coaches and players scouting their next opponent).

 

I will also ask this: Has McBrayer upgraded its lighting situation since the last time they were host? I remember every year that I went up there and had to spend 3-4 days there at games I always ended up dealing with about three days of being sick afterward because of how the horrendously terrible lighting just beat up my immune system. Not to mention how terrible that lighting is for photographers (again, me).

 

I hate McBrayer. EKU needs a new arena, or at least a repurposed old one the way WKU did with Diddle. That place is magnificent now and the perfect spot for the All A.

It's impossible to get from press row to the stands or vice versa without going through the underbelly of the arena.

My sons have been to both venues. Both have their quirks but work well.

I remember seeing tweets when they put in the new floor and they also got new lighting, probably the LED's which are better for photos even though they may not seem as bright as the old ones.
