Open Job: Fleming County

Recommended Posts

Some names to look into:

John Michael Reitz (Fleming Assistant)

Chris Stapleton (Scott Assistant)

Brent Sowder (Campbell Assistant)

Dustin High (Montgomery Assistant)

Patrick Kelsch (Robertson Head Coach)

Matt Botner (Nicholas Head Coach)

Collin Duffie (Harrison Assistant Coach)

No chance for most of those above

The new Coach will have either a Maysville/Mason County tie(Reitz, maybe. Stapleton never?

or 16th region tie

I would say Reitz and Stape are the leading candidates. Can't say about the level of interest with the others listed.

The roster may get bigger if they start dressing 8th/7th graders. Heard there's a talented kid or two in middle school. None of the coaches listed have high school aged players that I'm aware of.

Cannot imagine anyone for the Taylor Mill area (Stapleton) relocating to Flemingsburg so Stapleton won't bring anyone. Scott has too much team integrity and chemistry.

MontCo (High) just lost Canada to GRC so that staff in its entirety might cough up another player, but not to Flemingsburg.

Cameron Jackson would be the most likely to offer new personnel b/c of his strong AAU ties, but Fleming County would have to offer some economic stability to families.

Who knows though. There are two solid coaches listed here and High has a solid lineage of coaching in his blood. They all three are solid picks.

To be honest after reading the posts on this thread. All three of them would need to come in, in order to make a difference in Panther Country.

Pretty interesting scenario. Their schedule on KHSAA looks pretty good too. Competitive and will most likely make them better.

Calling Frankie Smith.....!!! He'd be interesting the throw in the hat at this stage of the game.

Hopefully they will pick up where they left off.
