I wouldn't consider myself anywhere near a Trumpeteer, but since I voted for him I'll bite.

 

I don't care one iota about "Lock her up". The second he won the election I said that I thought it would be best if he never mentioned her name again and let her drift away. I have zero interest in Trump chasing down HRC and finding a way to prosecute her, even though she probably deserves it.

This has to be considered when talking about Trump’s lies.

 

Media bias has always been slammed by politicians. Sometimes It’s warranted, and sometimes it isn’t. But the term only makes sense when it’s understood the media is meant to be neutral, it’s supposed to be fair, it’s supposed to report the facts.

 

When politicians criticize biased media it’s a lot like a coach haranguing the umpire for not calling the game evenly. And that’s how the public understands it too. The media’s job is to call balls and strikes, but our team’s not getting the calls we should.

 

This is different.

 

Bannon says the media is the opponent. That’s a total paradigm shift. They aren’t simply calling the game unfairly, they’re the other team.

 

In that light, lying is a noble weapon to wield against your opponent. And when people call out your dishonesty it’s because they’re the enemy too. “Truth is treason in an empire of lies.”

 

As long as Trump and co. can establish this dichotomy then the facts don’t matter. Only whose side you’re on.

Hmmmm. Fillmore was supposedly a member of the Whig party, but he didn't wear a whig.

The fence will make a major dent in illegal immigration, but it will never stop it 100%. Laws never stop something 100%, we have had laws against bank robberies, identity theft and consumer fraud,. Yet we have all these crimes to take place.

I will say this about Trump. Like him or hate him or somewhere in between. He is smarter than alot have given him credit for.

 

Trump is running again right now and some have not figured it out yet. Ill explain my 1 week in his first term reasoning.

 

He is going line by line on his promises. His detractors said he would or could not do this and would, like all other presidents, both D's and R's, scale back after he had won. Not Trump. He campaigned on these promises and these very promises got him elected. Trump full well understands this.

 

Trump also knows if he tries his best or at least put this out there that he tried he will be good to his word. If he is at least true to his word and tries then he will gain even more voters that were close to supporting him yet either voted third party/did not vote/ or chose Clinton in the end.

 

He also knows that if any Republicans really oppose him hard on this, its a major death wish for them in the district they run in. He understands people are very upset and if they see a President at least trying to do what they say and trying to help them with $$$ they are gonna side with him even though they may not have initially liked him.

 

If just 50% of the things he has proposed works out, he will be a 2 term president. This my short version, not gonna write a book on what I think cause nobody cares what I think.

Mexico will never fully fund that wall and everyone here knows it.

 

There a lot of things I don't like about Trump, and I didn't vote for him even though I am a moderate republican and agree with him on a lot of things, however let me ask you this...

Come on JJ. Don't jump all the way down that rabbit hole. Let this first 100 days play out and then let's see where we are. He has backed off a few things he said during his campaign and he keeps making these crazy statements. He is doing a good job pushing the majority of his agenda but let's see how it all plays out.

I disagree. People know he is smart. People know he has been successful at pretty much everything he has done. The problem is that he has tried hard to be an entertainer his whole life. He's never been truthful about anything. His campaign was shameful, his tactics are unprecedented, he's been a flaming cannonball since day one. We are still waiting on him to act presidential and shut the hell up and just be the damn president. What he tries to do is plain to see and people love it. It defies all logic. I'm on record with approving of some of the things he has done but good Lord Donald. Chill out. It's also a reason why a large amount of people don't like him and never will. Media included. I'll never understand anyone's approach to life like that let alone the POTUS.
