February 7, 20179 yr Elections have consequences. This is a horrible one. I weep for the future. Feds have been throwing money at the schools for decades now.. She could hardly do worse.. We'll have to see what she has to offer. Should be good help at getting power back to the states.. The A-Plus act will keep the federal monies coming but with less strings attached..
February 7, 20179 yr Care to elaborate? I know a little background on her...no experience in the education field, supporter of voucher system and charter schools, heads some sort of organization on education policy...family is loaded and donated millions to Rep party and candidates. I don't know if she would be good for the job or not. Seems to be she might be getting rewarded for her donations and not necessarily what she might actually bring to the table, but I just don't know enough about her. So give me some insight on the literal "hate" for her by many as Ed Sec pick. And being a teacher I'm sure you have probably researched this more than the average person. Just google her answers to questions the committee asked and you will understand the vitriol.
February 7, 20179 yr I'm in the same boat as you. For those that are opposed to it, what is it you fear she'll do? I've answered it a million times in this thread. Her answers are what alarms me. She had no clue about IDEA and different measuring methodologies in education. Why? Cause she's never had to deal with disabled students and the need of public education to teach for them.

Should be good help at getting power back to the states.. The A-Plus act will keep the federal monies coming but with less strings attached.. That's an interesting hope. After all, her track record seems to be that she's been throwing money at candidates for years to get to this job; why do you think she just won't throw some more money out there? :thumb:
February 7, 20179 yr Just google her answers to questions the committee asked and you will understand the vitriol. Yes I have seen a couple of those...but, it seems to me it goes deeper than that, but I could be wrong.
