  1. How is it possible that Dickmann's in Ft. Wright hasn't been mentioned yet? For me they are the standard to which all other wings I eat are compared. Haven't found any that live up to them yet.
  2. I think Jamie doing it is the only thing that could give a satisfying conclusion to his arc. Anything else will feel like his redemption was for nothing.
  3. How would you pronounce extraordinary with 4 syllables? I feel like it would be either 5: ext-ror-din-air-ee or 6: ex-tra-or-din-air-ee
  4. My only somewhat logical guesses are: Monster- Lil Wayne - the fact that he has several songs featuring the word monster including one called "I'm a monster" and his clue, which I'm paraphrasing, that he stepped away from the limelight for a while which works with him stepping away to deal with his health/drug problems. The deer- Peyton Manning- the southern accent, the hint that he's been to a super bowl, and the clue about liking horses. It all seems to fit too easily though so I'm not confident about this one. The lion- Willow Smith- If anyone fits the description of trying to break out on your own from a family of Hollywood royalty it would be Willow Smith. She's the first person that popped in my mind the second I heard that. Admittedly I had to Google how tall she was after to see if it even made sense and she's 5'7" so I'm sticking with it. Sidenote: I would love to hear the private conversations between medical doctor Ken Jeong and devout anti-vaccer Jenny McCarthy. The fact that they even got them to sit on a panel together is pretty incredible.
  5. The Office CPR scene. I've seen it probably 100 times and still literally laugh out loud every single time.
  6. That's a trick question. You can't tire of him if you can't stand him from the get go. Collinsworth is the worst color man in the game IMO. Unless the Bengals are playing I hardly ever watch Sunday night games solely because of him.
  7. What are you basing this claim on? Don't get me wrong, I love football just as much as anybody. I played from the ages of 10-18. There are of course great benefits to playing football. I learned teamwork, sacrifice, and responsibility not to mention I just had a lot of fun and great memories. However, none of those are unique to football, they are unique to playing a team sport in general. With the science becoming more and more clear of the damage that can be done even at an early age and even with proper techniques and safety regulations in place why would a parent not lean toward having their kid play a safer sport where the same valuable life lessons can be learned? I know when the time comes I'm going to have to think long and hard before letting my future sons sign up.
  8. Haha nope unfortunately not unusual at all. I had more undergrad debt than some people and combined with the master's my debt total is higher than most, but the average medical school debt is right around $200,000 though. I would assume veterinary school is right there in the same ball park.
  9. I never batted an eye at taking out loans (and still don't). With the exception of my parents covering housing in undergrad, I will be paying for the entirety of my education myself over the course of the next 20 years or so. At about $100,000 in undergrad loans, $40,000 masters degree loans, and $350,000 in medical school loans I'll by coming in just shy of a cool half million give or take when it's all said and done. I view it all as an investment in myself that hopefully will pay off in a long, happy and successful career that will be worth every penny.
  10. I'm curious about the terms? Is it like an all you can buffet? You get her company for a set amount of time and as many umm plates (to continue the buffet metaphor) as you want in that time. Or is it just one very expensive entree? If it's the latter this dude better be working on building up that stamina to get his money's worth.
  11. Are you asking opponents of religious same sex marriage or legal same sex marriage? If somebody opposes same sex marriage from a moral and religious perspective, although I'd disagree, I feel that is well within your rights to do. No religious faith should be compelled to recognize a marriage they deem to be against their beliefs. What I would argue with is when someone opposes same sex marriage from a legal perspective. I would ask those that are against legal same sex marriage, how do you justify not allowing a legal contract between two consenting adults of sound mind? Again, I'm not saying you have to recognize it as a sacrament in your church or a sacred bond with God if you don't believe it is, but from a purely secular and legal point of view how does one oppose it?
  12. I can't imagine how any neutral fan couldn't be rooting for the Jags in this one. Given their history the last 10 seasons or so they're a great underdog story. That being said I'll take the Pats over the Jags 27-24 on a game winning drive.
  13. To be fair that storyline, like many in television, was ripped from a story that happened in real life. Chinese baby, rescued from toilet, is released to grandparents - CNN That being said I couldn't stand the acting of the woman who played the female police officer. It was so over the top and unbelievable like a high schooler who just came back from acting camp. I'll probably give the show another chance, but doubtful I'll stick with it too long.
  14. What is the reasoning behind having limited or banned alcohol sales on Sunday at all?
  15. Haha I’m morally conflicted on the thought of either of us finally winning.
  16. Scott Gimple confirmed on Talking Dead that we saw him get bit two episodes ago when he was fighting the walkers with Saddiq.
  17. Those were the oceanside women. Tara's umm frenemies from the end of last season. They didn't necessarily need to include that little scene in the mid season finale. I think it was more of a reminder to us that they're going to be a bigger part of the story going forward so don't forget about them as we go into the mid season break.
  18. All in all I thought it was okay. They at least "killed" a major character which I think was essential to moving the story forward. The fact that the viewing audience is left in the dark (both literally and figuratively in this particular episode) so often makes the back and forth from story to story and timeline to timeline more confusing than anything else. Also, how in the hell did the Saviors coordinate a complicated three pronged counter strike with full ammunition and explosives with only hours (minutes? who knows cause they don't tell us anything) to plan it? And where did they get all that ammunition as just last episode they were running low and needed Eugene to make them more? Why did the Hilltoppers suddenly lose their will to fight? Just hours earlier everyone was willing to fight to the death and now all of the sudden they just hand over their weapons without a word even though they are at least evenly matched in numbers/ammo at this point. Finally, I need to briefly rant about the tiniest little moment at the very beginning that basically summed up the ridiculousness that is Rick and his plans. I'm not sure if it was a writing, directing, or acting choice but its the moment when Rick realizes that the garbage people are running away instead of helping him fire back at the Saviors and he has a look of surprise and frustration on his face. That behavior from the garbage people is exactly 100% what would be expected from them given what we know and Rick should know from literally every encounter he's had with them. Yet, somehow our fearless leader through this universe is still caught off guard by it.
  19. I think the bigger risk would be not doing something insane and killing off someone major. After the dumpster incident with Glenn and the cliffhanger of who Negan hit with the bat, I think most fans would be more upset with another cheap trick than they would with a favorite dying. They marketed this upcoming episode as having a "can't miss moment that everyone will be talking about" and if they don't deliver it could get very ugly in the fandom.
  20. I actually really enjoyed the interplay between Dwight and Eugene last night. It was interesting how the characters have developed in such a way that I found myself rooting for Dwight and against Eugene. Two seasons ago I would have never thought that possible. I also think they're both very strong actors so that helps as well. Rick's plan is completely asinine despite the fact that it has been going just as he thought for the most part. I am completely okay with Daryl and Tara going of script. Rick had no backup plan except to will the garbage people into cooperating. It may have worked, but it logically shouldn't have.
  21. The rumors I've been reading are that Fear The Walking Dead will make a fairly significant time jump so the Morgan we will see is a continuation of the Morgan we currently have on TWD and not a flashback with a crazy convoluted explanation as to how he made it from Atlanta to Houston and back to Atlanta. That makes much more sense than the producers allowing a huge death to be spoiled. Instead he'd actually be the only one guaranteed to survive.
  22. I thought last night's episode was hands down the best episode of the season. Granted that bar was set pretty low, but I'll give credit when I think it's due. It was a tight concise story that advanced both the plot and the arc of two characters (3 if you count Jerry) and it had some solid action, drama, and even a couple good one liners (again, Jerry). I understood the motivations of each character both on a personal level and on a strategic level (beyond just kill all the Saviors) for the first time all season. Also, the director of tonight's episode managed to even evoke some emotional response from me to the violence which is something I, and most viewers, have long grown numb to on this show. The jump cuts zoomed in on the freshly mangled bodies juxtaposed seconds after showing them leaving their families in the flashback was jarring. And the brutal angle from which we got to see Jerry hack "1980's pedophile savior" (that was my loving nickname for him) in half was executed perfectly (pun intended). Finally, any episode led by Melissa McBride, who in my opinion is far and away the most skilled actor on the show, is going to get an added boost. Don't get me wrong this episode wasn't without flaws. There was yet another over the top speech from the king, but I feel that was used properly in this episode and misused in previous ones. Also, the atrocity of CGI they call Shiva was yet again atrocious, but at least she's dead and we don't have to worry about her being used as a deus-ex-machina for the rest of the series. Finally, that car chase was as ridiculous as possible in every aspect right down to the cheesy Flash Gordon-esque music playing, but even that was oddly enjoyable to me. Overall, a huge improvement in a very subpar season.
  23. Is this still the first round? Although I'm not a Coors fan myself, I'd have to think these would be considered two 1 seeds by many.
  24. I wouldn’t say zero redeeming qualities. Those piercing baby blues could make me consider switching teams.
  25. Last night's episode was one of the worst I can remember. The only thing good about it was the immediate and unceremonious disposal of Morales. I loved that. I laughed out loud when it happened (I'm not sure if that's the reaction they were going for but it happened and I enjoyed it). I guess Gregory's character is enjoyable in a love to hate him kind of way, but the awkward forced attempt at comedy in those scenes is painful. Way too much time was spent on the death of an underdeveloped character that quite frankly I just didn't care about in Eric. As a result those scenes just felt like they were dragging on and on for me. They could have at least attempted to develop this tertiary character before killing him like they did with Dr. Denise. The Morgan vs Jesus storyline is just another take on one that they've rehashed so many times now I can't get myself to care. At no point did I think any serious harm was going to come to either of them during that fight, and it has been made abundantly clear that Morgan is mentally unstable for seasons now so why was this necessary? Finally, was the savior who was manning the big guns at the end asleep while all his buddies were getting slaughtered outside, or did he just think it'd be cool to let them all die so he could start shooting at the most cinematically exciting time?
