January 10, 20179 yr This was no doubt that this was the best ncaa championship game that I have ever watched. Only other one that compared was the Texas / USC game several years ago when Texas won. I always say that sometimes good things happen to good people and with Dabo Swinney and DeSaun (spelling?) Watson ... that was certainly proven true in this one. Both men are strong Christians and great human beings. There were too many key plays, great plays on both sides to try and mention from both teams. I have said it before and I'll say it again ... Any of the Heisman Trophy voters that did Not Vote for D. Watson as the winner should have their right to vote for the award taken away. This year the Heisman was definitely given to the wrong guy, Watson may had deserved it last year as well. JMO

I think he wound up with 19 picks in 15 games. That's not great at all. Jackson deserved the Heisman this year for his play on the field despite most people being able to acknowledge that Watson was probably the best player in college football but was simply underachieving most of the year.

The decision to have Watson punt on 4th and short paid off great. Also: Damien Harris is a more consistent back than Bo. Why they didn't give him more carries shocks me

Disagree about Bo and Harris. When Bo's healthy there is no comparison right now.

JMO If D Watson was the best player in College Football then it really shows how bad the QB class this year really is. 17 INT's in 15 games is not that great.

When Bo's healthy there is no comparison right now. Exactly, had to be. I think he was thinking about Kirby last year and how many points he gave up and blamed it on him taking the Georgia job. Harris seems more consistent to me IMO, but Clemson DBs didn't want any of Bo if he got to the edge.

Why would an assistant stay now after they've got a HC job? Not that it would have mattered. Kiffin and Sark called identical games to me. Too much passing give Bama's ability to run the ball.
