Boom Williams to enter NFL Draft

He'd be smart to stay in college in my opinion, but I hope it works out for him

Boom stood to gain nothing from coming back. Late round pick either way. I think with the right organization he could be a nice player. Wasn't utilized in the passing game as much as he could possibly be at the next level. Would love to have him back but I think it's a no brainer, even if he's not drafted.

His biggest issue is he proved over and over again he is not a team player as he has already quit on his team during games. He's all about himself. Great talent but unfortunately his attitude has gotten in the way.

While the iron is hot??

What round does Boom project??? How many RB's will come off the board before him??

I'm not sure he will get drafted. He tends to dance and try to go for the big run every carry instead of putting his pads down and getting what is there, although he seemed to improve in that area late in the regular season.

He is not physical enough to be an every down kind of back in the NFL in my opinion, but he does possess breakaway speed.

There is a lot of merit to this, I think. I did not like the way he quit the team in 2015.......surprised that the coach/team let him back on the team.

It's the best move for Boom, I think regardless if he enters the Draft or stays he's a late round pick, Snell is the better running back, why come back and not be the top back? Best for Boom to enter the Draft, though as a fan it would be nice to have him back next season.

Here's a novel idea -- he stays in school and works toward a degree so he has something to show for the years he spent as a student athlete at UK.

Let's call it plan B if the NFL thing doesn't work out

Sounds like the right thing to do, but when these kids see their dream right in front of them, most of them don't think twice about going for it, unfortunetly it usually doesn't work out and they need that degree.

I wish him all the best. Hope he grows up in the offseason a little. His temper

tantrums on the sidelines won't do him any favors at the next level.

Making a half a mill makes things better. He'll take it just fine.

UK allows all of their former student athletes who decide to forego the rest of their college career for the pros to come back at any time and finish it out. That's really not a big deal.

If you are a late round draft possibility whether you stay or not and the NFL is your dream, you declare.

Football wise you have nothing to gain in staying. If he gets hurt, he will be lucky to be a FA pickup after his draft.

Especially when you can always go back and get your degree.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

UK can always use RB's, after all they both got 1,000 yards this year. Snell is better, but after him who do they have? RB could be thin next season and Snell will be the focus of every D...it will be tough on him next year.

King looked to be just as shifty and as fast as Boom in the few reps he got and the coaches have been singing the praises of The freshman AJ Rose who was redshirted this year. He's supposedly a balance of speed and power. There's 3 backs plus whoever they've got signed this year.

Benny, A.J. Rose, King. RB's will be fine. Bye Boom. Locker room dirt has to go to succeed. Better address the weak D Line!
