Sad. Condolences to the Beechwood community and the family.

So sad. Praying for the family. Any idea what caused this? Did he have a known health condition that caused seizures or just a random event.

 

My understanding is that he suffers from grand mal seizures, which prevents him from playing football, but he is still very much part of the team.

Very sorry to hear this news my heart aches for the family.

Not the outcome all of us prayed for, but God works in ways that we are sometimes unable to understand. It is my prayer that or Lord wraps his loving arms around this Family, team, school and community, during this time of grief. God bless each and every one of you, and know you are in our thoughts.

Two months ago, a well loved Beechwood teacher's aide passed away, also unexpectantly. No doubt Debbie was there waiting for him at the gate.

Wow, I sure didn't expect this news. So sorry for that family and prayers for comfort for them and entire Bwood community from the spindoc fam. Hope he's in Glory with a new body free from his chains on this earth enjoying all the Lord has in store for him.

Mason Bushelman, Beechwood High School freshman, dies following seizure - Story

 

 

FORT MITCHELL, Ky. – Beechwood High School is mourning freshman Mason Bushelman, who died Thursday from a catastrophic seizure disorder.

 

The freshman football player, 16, is son of retired Kenton County Family Court judge Lisa Osborne Bushelman.

 

Classmates and friends gathered on the football field at Beechwood Thursday night to honor him. The freshman basketball team won a holiday tournament Thursday and dedicated their win to Mason.

 

A family member said Mason had Dravet Syndrome, a lifelong form of epilepsy that causes frequent and prolonged seizures. He went into cardiac arrest after a seizure earlier this week.

 

The family has requested privacy at this time.

There is another gathering tonight at the Beechwood football field at 7:00 to pray for and show support to the Bushelman family.
