The game was won by the St. X off. line, period! end of story. Good try by Highlands and good job to the linemen at St. X.

I watched this game on TV, and I have to agree with Rocks 4 Ever. When St. X took the game over, it was on the work of that offensive line. No disrespect to the Highlands O-line, because they were solid as well.

All that said, I think even I could gain yardage running behind the left side of the St. X line. Well, footage anyway...

Nice game by both teams. Last weeks game effected this game. X had a blow out, which allowed the starters (presumably) to rest a bit. Whereas Highlands had a tough game against Elder and Highlands starters played the entire game in a very physical game. With Highlands having fewer players than X, X had the ability to sub players and Highlands stayed with their starters almost the entire game. It showed in the second half. Congrats to X. They have a very solid team, good athletes and are well coached. I feel like we gave it our all and left everything on the field. Do I like losing or easily accept the loss? Heck no. But there were a lot of positives accomplished in this game. Playing Elder and X back to back took it toll on the Birds, but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Finally, LN and I enjoyed meeting Tony Danza. Extremely nice person, Heck we even enjoyed seeing BirdsFan.

Sounds like a game for the ages! Was it a close game all the way through or just a blow-out by St.X and then Highlands scores when the subs come in? I wish I could watch the birds play just one time, which is why I hope Bell Co. wins region so the birds come near us to play:). Anywho, good-luck for the rest of the season from your SEKY fan!

Not to back myself on the back too much...

I agree the Birds will have some Panther hangover to get past. Tigers by 14.
Heck we even enjoyed seeing BirdsFan.
Imagine that!

I got a bang out of seeing you guys too!

It wasn't like that at all. The Birds had a chance to pull out a win, right up until the last couple of minutes.

Highlands was winning 7 to 6 at the half. By no means was this a blow out.

I got to catch the last half of the 3rd and the 4th on TV. I thought Highlands made a great run at the end. The Kramer kid is a freak. I will agree that the screen pass he took to the house was very pretty. I wish I could have seen the whole game.

I'd have to list Kramer at the top of my NKY POY list right now. It's amazing how much this kid has matured since his debut as the "jet sweep kid" in 04...

I was extremely impressed with the performance of the Highlands team today against the Tigers. Kramer, Cecil, and the entire OL played brilliantly. It was a war well worth watching.

Great game Bluebirds! :thumb:

Thank You Highlands for a great game. I was at the game and was very impressed with your team. Class program all the way. Great fan support. Played the game tough, came out swinging and never gave up. Prize Fight - Punch returned for punch! QB and #4 are exciting to watch and very good. O Line is tough and fast - well coached. The execution was good. One year makes a lot of difference. Good Luck the rest of the year.

I think Coach G was trying a few things in the first half for later season use. Second half was all STX football. Good Game to see a very good offense (Trinity, Male and PRP coming). Also good game to pound the ball when needed.

Congrats Tigers. You all played a great game. I wish we'd have played the version of your team that played BG in the first game, but the version we played yesterday had no fumbles, no thrown interceptions, no dropped passes and very good execution on running and passing plays. Coach G has to be very pleased with how well the Tigers have improved in the couple of weeks since then. Again congrats. You have a tough, well disciplined, big and talented team. Good luck the rest of the year. By the way, while I was impressed with Anderson's talent, I was even more impressed with his demeanor on the field. He is one nice kid whom has to make his parents very proud.

Birds played a good game. Boys got to be a little sore this morning. Southwestern's probably smiling this morning thinking the Birds are going to relax too much this week to heal up and not be ready to play Southwestern on Friday. Don't think that will happen. Great game Birds. I was proud of every one of you. Way to suck up the pain, play with the injuries and give it your all. Seniors, for your last showing in PBS you may not have gotten a win, but I think you impressed a lot of fans with your effort and grit. Well done. Beat Southwestern.

Both these teams were the real deal. Very impressed by both , level of play was end of season - state champion game performances ... Certainly expect to see both.

I was very impressed with Kramer! His running style reminds me alot of Marty Reagan from Rockastle County several years ago.
