If you can't beat 6 schools on the same level as you, then you should not be rewarded with a bowl. Beating FCS schools, is something you should be able to do and never should it be a reward, in the shape of getting a bowl game.

FCS schools shouldn't count towards bowl eligibility, IMO.

Doubt you would have enough teams to fill all of these crappy bowls if that is your standard.

Not enough teams. Some of the toilet bowls would have to go.

I understand why they allow the FBS vs FCS games because some of those FCS schools require the money they recieve from playing those games to fund their athletic programs, but I would love to see the games go away as a fan of the sport.

What harm is there in allowing 5-7 or 6-6 teams to play in minor bowl games? Please do not say missed class time as that is not something that really matters to FBS schools. If a 6-6 team plays a 5-7 team in the Weed-Eater Bowl I'll watch if nothing better is on.

Why does it matter ? The only thing playing that game impacts is SOS when determing the Final Four. If the SEC doesn't play a tough enough schedule it will hurt them.

 

Why would anyone care if a 6 win team got a bowl bid. You don't have to watch.

Other than the F4 bowl games are essentially meaningless business events put on by a company trying to make a buck. They can invite whomever they wish as far as I'm concerned.

I agree, take the top 4 out and let all the other bowls work out deals to get who they want.

ACC, American, Big Sky, Big 12, Conf USA, MAC, Mountain West and others only play 8, yet you never seem to worry about those leagues :lol2:

Because people are always looking for reasons to put down others success or achievements. Some are Pro's at being Butt Hurt about everything.

A bid to a bowl, however crappy, does allow for more practices.

I'm okay with the system the way it is now. As long as there are enough bowls, I think 6 wins period is good enough.
