I was told there is some unhappy people in Fort Thomas.

I think someone said in the update thread 1991

Which was the equivalent to today's second round.

Which was the equivalent to today's second round.

Incorrect. 1991 was the first year four teams from each district made the playoffs, so it was the first round just as today's.

More importantly, how does Highlands fix this? Were they just young and inexperienced? Or does this actually fall on coaching?

Highlands with the first round exit!!! Drop the mic!!!

You do realize that these are kids that you are so excited about losing? You're ridiculous.

Isn't it possible the answer is neither and the historic run is over because HHS no longer has the market cornered on good talent and good coaching staff?

What is "now part of the norm?" Curious to hear this one

Part of the norm for NKY is a team that can win, but does not quite have it to win or compete for the final State game every other year. Highlands has by far recently been the most dominant NKY team that gets to the final game. If I'm wrong on that, prove it. So yes, they are now becoming part of the norm. 1,2 maybe 3 deep in the playoffs for the next few years. with this years record, I don't see them competing for a State title soon. Prove me wrong next year, because this year is in the books.

Of course, the cake eaters just got a taste of humble pie!

Congratulations Coach Phil Hawkins.

@coachhawk

So weinrich is gone right?

I guess I should fix this I think some the kids that play football are awesome and great athletes. I just can't stand Highlands fans.

Very happy for Coach Hawkins and the Doss Dragons. He was a classmate of mine at one of Kentucky's finest establishments

Gosney threw for 283 yards 3 tds. Murray ran for 147 yards 1 td and caught a td.

How do we know it wasn't their best? Is it possible we're teaching them to pass the blame elsewhere?

Very good point...

Congrats to Doss on the victory

No.
