Give me the St. X tradition in this one.... Crystal ball says Tigers score early, and often in a 32 - 14 win.

Can't see tradition being a difference when the opponent is Highlands.

Highlands 24

ST. X 14

Not the same team as last year Highlands will not have to throw the ball in this one.:flame:

I like your optimism but there is not a 'chance in hades' that Highlands an beat X "not haviving to throw the ball". In fact, I hope they go in with that approach, then I can relax and enjoy the game. Your O-line may be good but they will not dominate the St X D-line. To use your logic...they 'are not last years team' either. This line is bigger and quicker to the ball than last years line ever was. Also, the LB's pursue the ball incredibly well. There is a reason they have only allowed 97 yards total rushing in three games. Good luck trying to cram the ball down their throats----not going to happen.

Enjoy your little world. It's all going to change Saturday afternoon.:ylsuper:

The only team I've seen beat one of the big 3 and not throw a single pass was Bryan Station, w/ Eric Shelton and co., against Trinity in 1999 regional final.

While the Birds run the ball very well, I'm not sure its the case that we won't have to throw the ball in this one. Have to keep the lbers and corners honest. I fully expect the Birds to throw the ball more and more each week as Cecil becomes more comfortable and experienced in the qb spot. I actually believe by the CovCath game, we'll throw the ball as much as we run it. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cecil throw the ball more than you expect against X. And as for the margin of victory, while I'd love a 10 point win, I'd be more than happy with a 1 point win myself. X is good, real good.

If the line keeps him off his back like they did last week, they should definitely throw the ball. He is a threat to run as well so I think that allows him to wait until the last second to toss the ball. He throws on the run a lot which is to his advantage as he is sprinting left or right.

What time is the game Sat. and what TV station?

1:00 PM - Channel 19 (WXIX).

LN, Sticky, BF, Henry, you better write this down.

I'm picking the Birds over St. X. by 10. I think that HHS's team is going to make me look smart this weekend and I plan on attending to enjoy it fully. Go Birds!

Does HHS have the horses to stay fresh for 48 minutes?

I think that might be the real key to victory here.

Yes.

This is not a jet sweep team RP. They mix the pass and run as well as T or D.:D

I believe it is on 19. That is the local Fox channel.

I'm guessing that T is Trinity, but who is D?

I found a listing for Fox Sports Ohio here in Louisville on the Courier-Journal's website and it says the Highlands/St X game will be carried live at 1:00pm on Saturday! Thank goodness the Ohio State/Texas game doesn't come on until 8:00pm that night!
