I don't think that HHS stays close in this game because of X's defense. Male's goofy defense allowed some success for your offense, and that allowed for the defense to get themselves time to adjust for that explosive Male offense. I think that the point differential will be about 3-4 scores.

I dont see St. X coming into this game and falling apart as they did against Moller in 2004 (St. X's first trip to Paul Brown Stadium). I feel as if the Tigers will be ready to play. No coming in sleeping this time.... From the HHS perspective, I think they have been looking forward to this game for a long time. The drubbing they took last year at Manual stadium from St. X did not set well with the Bluebird players, coaches and fans..... HHS will be ready to play without question.... I don not see a blow out for either team. I see a close game, going into the late 3rd Q befor one team gets a 10 point advantage.... When its over, Tigers win 22 - 17....

I will update my prediction.... the team that stops the other team from scoring the most wins.

I really don't like predicting who will win in a big game as such but will say that the Highlands Bluebirds are tough as nails and they will punch you in the mouth so I hope X isnt coming into this game expecting to win. I saw some major licks the other night in the Elder game.

Excecution, Execution, Execution.....if the Birds Execute and don't give X a short field due to turnovers.. they will make this a barn burner.

...so I hope X isn't coming into this game expecting to win.
I hope they're reading (and believing) the silly predictions of a 3-4 score victory!
I can't see anyone winning the war in the trenches against St.X this year. The Tigers are very strong and deep on both lines. The defense is great against the run.Depth will payoff late in the game after a hard fought contest the Tigers win by something like 10-14 points.

7 players rotate on HHS O-line 6 seniors and one JR. Plus the TE is a 6'3 230 lb stud. The O-line is big athletic and very experienced. How many D-line starters does X return off last years great team? I remember their defense as being awesome last year. Gonna be a great battle. have to go with the Birds in a nailbiter 24-21. #10 nails a 50 yder as time expires:banana:

I still stand by that.

I still stand by that.
Ok; but if you're wrong, you owe me a filet with Bernaise. ;)

I like X in a close one; should be a great game!

The Tigers go into every game they play "expecting to win". Every good team worth their salt does this. Unless you are a masochist, if you don't think you can win, why even play the game?

In regards to the "punch you in the mouth" comment, that is why they invented face masks. Have you ever thrown a punch at one and looked at your hand afterwards...a BLOODY mess...stupid move. To make it even worse, you have these zebras roaming the field watching for these signs of frustration and throwing silly little yellow flags. Fifteen yards later you think to yourself, "How can I be so dumb?" :D

I think he meant, "win easily."

I could make that happen...

I don't think RP will lose this bet, but will you settle for a fillet?

I don't think Highlands fans understand that this X team is even better than last years team, which was maybe X's gteatest team ever.

I think he meant, "win easily."

Ahh...you've now become a telepathic interpreter of other's thoughts...ala Ms. Cleo.

That would make more sense. I was going to ask if the Birds use a losing mentality. Maybe that is why that they never seem to be able to close the door on Elder. :creepy:
