I see, I see, good-luck to the birds though from your Southeastern Kentucky fans. Would love to see an upset, and a state title this year:thumb:

Would beating st. x be an upset? I like Highlands in a close one.:sssh:

I'd say that it would be a slight one.

Fort Thomas by 14!

This game will throw the 4a powers into disarray!

I personally think that it would be a pretty big upset....early prediction.....27-9 X.

I agree RP, at this point I'd have to say it would be a big upset. I say the Tigers get off to a slow start. The Birds hang for about a half. Then... X begins to roll.

X-39

HHS-12

Going to have to go against my hometeam and say X 28 - 17. HHS is just too predictable and one dimensional. If HHS wins it will be due to their strong defense. I think special teams will also play a huge role in the game as it did in the Elder showdown.

If HHS takes care of the ball and has any kind of success passing I think they can win...HHS 24 St.X 21 GO BIRDS!!!!!! I think they will surprise some of the posters from the ville...

I think this is a battle of strengths. HHS has been running the ball very well. X has not allowed anyone to run the ball. Who wins this battle? X does. The Tiger D may finally see a team put up some yards on the ground, but not enough. Their D has been very strong against some pretty good teams. HHS has a strong O-line so it should be a great battle, but X wins the battle on the line and they win the game. HHS defense has not seen anyone like Victor. The X line is coming together and opening holes for him. He only needs a gap and he's gone. Now that X has realized they can mix in the forward pass you can't focus totally on Vic. X wins this battle.

Should be a GREAT game! :ylsuper: and the tigers win. Prediction comes later in the week.

We've seen Mr. Beaumont.......:jump: He killed us in the first half of the scrimmage. The Birds adjusted at the half and he didn't do much after that... Don't get me wrong it will be a monumental task to stop Mr. Anderson..

I disagree with your prediction of X winning the line battle. HHS bread and butter against Elder was running between the tackles. Elder had at least one D-1 D lineman if not more, and the Birds had over 200 yards rushing. I don,t doubt X has studs on the D line. However HHS O-line has played against some great D-lines, I will include last years foes Colerain, StX and St Francis Desale here. HHS, offensively will win the war in the trenches:p

I can't see anyone winning the war in the trenches against St.X this year. The Tigers are very strong and deep on both lines. The defense is great against the run.Depth will payoff late in the game after a hard fought contest the Tigers win by something like 10-14 points.

I agree! We saw Beaumont -- saw him go by on the left -- saw him go by on the right...;)

I think they will be adjusted for Mr. Anderson. We just need the offense to click and special teams to play well.

I don't know if we'll pull off the win; but it will not be a blow-out! I think a few of the X faithful are living in last year.

Beaumont is ...to say the least...a handful.....but X has 3 dangerous backs:

1.) Vic...is well known and should be considering that he averaging 10.8 yards a carry and a TD every 4 runs. And you would be surprised to see how much of these stats came after first contact

2.) Duece Finch...is the new guy (soph) with close to Vic speed and moves but with more size and the ability to just truck you. Many believe that he will be the best back to ever come out of X...

3.) Drew Eckman...a very hard running fullback who worked his butt off in the off-season.

X.... as everyone knows.....runs their QB also...

X this year has shown the ability to pass....and with speedster Will Simmons at WR....it makes defending the Tigers a lot harder than just worrying about Vic....

Un-believeable X stat.....X has almost 2 times more passing yards than our pass-happy rivals at Trinity....( X has played 1 more game)

Keying on Vic is not a good idea!
