UKMustangFan Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Elliott is currently on pace for 1,875 yards, which would be the all-time rookie rushing record, surpassing Eric Dickerson's 1,808. Can Elliott get to the 2,000 yard mark? He's averaging 142 yards a game over his last four. If no, do you think he'll set the rookie mark? Is he this good, or is the Dallas O-Line just that good? Both?
MJAlltheWay24 Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 I think he'll finish about 1,600. It's nice to see a dominate back though, with everyone saying that type of player is dying.
SnottieDrippen Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Depends on the QB situation. Tony is a chucker so his return would sway me toward no to both. If Garrett does the right thing, he eclipses the rookie mark at least.
halfback20 Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 I think it's a combination of the line and him. They're both good.
GrantNKY Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 I think it's a combination of the line and Zeke. Zeke is a special talent that we probably haven't seen since AP with that said I don't think he gets to it. You can't run a rookie into the ground for the sake of the record. I think Zeke is on pace for ~360 carries. It took Dickerson 390 to get to his mark so that's a more than a whole games worth of carries. He will only wind up getting 320-330 carries if I had to guess.
GrizzlyAdams Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 The Dallas offensive line is really really good. That being said Zeke is also a great talent. I hope Dallas runs him into the ground this year, my fantasy survival depends upon it.
sportsfan41 Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 I think he'll finish about 1,600. It's nice to see a dominate back though, with everyone saying that type of player is dying. Isn't his O-line one of the highest paid in the NFL?
TheDeuce Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 I don't think he does either. Off to a great start though.
futurecoach Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 He is definitely very talented. I don't think he is talent Wise at the level of a Peterson or ever will be. However he has the potential to put up the same if not better numbers behind that offensive line.
John Anthony Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 The best running back in the league by a mile.
Jumper_Dad Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Never mind...I'll start a new thread...but his quest for 2K may soon be over.
UKMustangFan Posted October 31, 2016 Author Posted October 31, 2016 The best running back in the league by a mile. Can't agree there. He's very good, but there's a handful of guys that would be doing the exact same thing with that line.
John Anthony Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Can't agree there. He's very good, but there's a handful of guys that would be doing the exact same thing with that line. He's currently the best player in the NFL. Or as you say, the best player in the NFL only because of his line.
Bengal Maniac Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 He is outstanding. Good line or not, and they are, he is special. A little early to compare to AP, but he has the capabilities to be. His speed must be deceiving because every teams' players never seem to have the correct angle on him. Best rookie of the year thus far.
