Boyle is not very good, the past few weeks of beating up on mediocre teams showed tonight. Boyle also got out coached, i hate to admit it but Mark Perry and Lex Cath has Boyle's number and it's going to be harder to turn around then most think in my opinion. I also thought Boyle's offensive play calling was not very good. Watching Boyle tonight was about like watching UK football team, lots of good pieces but nothing is happening. On to next week and it doesn't get any easier.

I really hope for a rematch as well. I can't say Boyle County deserves it after this showing. Go earn it boys.

The Boyle QBs have got to find a way to calm the nerves. I understand that they are kids, great kids at that, and nerves happen but in Boyle's 2 rivalry games this year (Danville and Lex Cath) Tiller has a combined 7 ints and Lanter has 3 ints. Boyle doesn't need the qbs to be playmakers like Josiah was last year just be a game manager. Take care of the football and let the very talented pieces around you make the plays.

 

 

Well this is what we all expected from this matchup. It amazes me how high the hopes are every year for my friends in black and gold only to be let down again and again.

 

When Chuck Smith was hired there was this excitement that your program would rule the district every single year. Only to now be a four time loser to the Knights of LC. I keep waiting for their fans to hold him fully responsible. A couple of years ago you blamed the coordinator and never called him out. His lack of adjustments are evident. The Rebels have become easily predictable on both sides of the ball and you guys remain silent? It's okay to be this quiet if you are content with being average, but the amount of posts and chatter I see you think you'd demand more. And you are asking for a rematch? Why?

I went to the game last night and I'm not a Catholic fan but to expect a different result in a rematch didn't watch what happened up front. Catholic dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and are a better football team right now. Boyle can't change being overmatched on the line that's a personel problem. Boyle looks to have issues at qb,with 5 or 6 interceptions it's hard to beat anybody. Both qb struggled with Catholics speed in the secondary. On the other hand Boyle gets to see 3 more years of the freshman qb Catholic played. Just a disappointing night for Boyle they got beat in every aspect of the game.

Forgive me if I don't agree with this nonsense. Remind me again how many titles Perry has? I'm confused. Chuck is grooming younger kids and trust me when I tell you that help is on the way...everyone on the field last night knows it.

I hear what you are saying WYW. It is tough to get through it and there is definitely a learning curve for young players. The good news is, when they begin to near the upper portion of that curve, they have a whole lot of playing time ahead of them. Enjoy the ride and watch them develop, then reap the benefits

I get frustrated when people get on here and speak like they know what's going on in these programs on a daily basis, on the sidelines during a game or even on the field on Friday night. That's why I don't get on here and slam teams or positions or definitely not specific players...because they are kids and I don't know what the coaches have in mind or what may be going on behind the scenes. All I know is that BC has lots of talent that is young and getting reps. And they are really good.

 

There are a handful of coaches that have earned the right and deserve the benefit of the doubt as to what the plan is....Chuck Smith is one of them.
