October 7, 20169 yr I like watching football on Saturday (college) and Sunday...thats it. I don't really have the time or desire to watch football on Mondays and Thursdays....unless the Browns play...and that is a rarity. They may be on tv somewhere...now if they actually PLAY is another story all together.:lol2:
October 7, 20169 yr I agree with others that say oversaturation. I don't watch Thursday games at all. I watch very little Monday night games Also, there is so much to do other than watch some bad games on a Sunday.
October 7, 20169 yr I hate the local team secondary tie in. I understand if the Bengals are on we are going to get that game. If not networks should put on the best game, not the next closest team, which seems to be the case. NFL could learn from college football when it comes to ensuring marquee games are seen by the biggest possible audience.
October 7, 20169 yr I used to watch quite a bit of NFL on TV, but over the last 2 or 3 years I've gotten to where I barely watch anymore. At least not a complete game. I might watch the 2nd half of a primetime game if the game is close, but I haven't watched many day games on Sunday for sure. I think I just got to where I realized that I had become a prisoner of the NFL and was wasting my entire Sunday in front of the TV. So much else I could be doing. That being said I still watch a lot of college football games, but I've always enjoyed them more than the NFL anyway. But even then I find that most of the time I DVR the games I want and watch them later on so it doesn't take so long. Only issue is I have to lock myself in an "internet free bubble" until I start to view the games.
October 7, 20169 yr I think the election has a lot to do with it as well. The Sunday news cycle begins on Sundays. I believe viewership for (cable) news programming has improved this season.
October 7, 20169 yr I am also a Red Zone watcher myself. If the Bengals are on I watch most of their game, but I find myself flipping to Red Zone as well.

In Louisville we're getting Steelers/Jets this weekend instead of Vikings/Texans. Hooray... the 1-3 Jets are on TV.
October 7, 20169 yr I only watch the Bengals. I'll watch RedZone. I might watch some of the Sunday Night game. The Monday games haven't been great since moving to ESPN 10 years ago and I just don't like ESPN's presentation of the NFL. I'd rather watch Monday Night Raw lol. Thursday's go against a couple College games so that may have an impact even though some weeks the match ups are lesser known programs.
October 7, 20169 yr Ratings would be worse without fantasy, right? Isn't that why a lot of people watch?
October 7, 20169 yr Ratings would be worse without fantasy, right? Isn't that why a lot of people watch? Absolutely imo. The only reason I watch any other game besides the Bengals is because of my fantasy players.

October 7, 20169 yr Ratings would be worse without fantasy, right? Isn't that why a lot of people watch? NFL wouldn't be as popular without Fantasy, no question.
October 7, 20169 yr I'm glad there is finally a Steelers game on TV. Tired of watching the crap Colts and the crap Bengals. No argument here. The Vikings are on CBS for what's likely to be the only time all season thanks to a road game against the Texans. Minnesota gets on TV a fair amount for how far away we are. It definitely helps that the Colts and Bengals are in the opposite conference.
October 7, 20169 yr Ratings would be worse without fantasy, right? Isn't that why a lot of people watch? You dont need to watch the games now to keep up with fantasy.
