Elder did not impress me the least bit. If Cov.Cath doesn't make stupid mistakes they win easy. Quit crying about the noise, you should be able to play with noise. Highlands is a much more disciplined team and i think they will come away with a big victory for Nky.

Highlands is not more disciplined then Elder. I would say they are equal programs. Very good programs.

For the match up I gotta go with Elder. From what I hear it will be a speed vs size and I don't see a Kramer led attack running all over Elder. However, this is not as strong of an Elder team as it has been the past few years. Maybe Highlands will get the monkey off their backs.

This isn't your typical HHS team...They have some kids with some size on the lines this year...

In years past, I would agree with the speed -vs- size argument, but I think HHS has a little bit of both this year.

They had a line and great players with Gino twice and it didn't happen..the years following that it didn't happen... Elder usually has a few D-1 LB's or Lineman.. I just don't see Kramer walking all over them. Like somebody else said HHS will have to pass.

That's what I hear but with Elder they have that EVERY year not some years. I know Highlands won't be afraid, I respect them for standing up to Elder a lot of KY teams wouldn't have anything to do with them.

Highlands blows them out. 37-7.

I'm a HHS fan and I think that's just plain silly!

More discipline than Cov. not Elder

The fans chipped in by disrupting the Colonels in a pair of late red zone opportunities.

"Our fans did a great job," Elder coach Doug Ramsey. "That's the way it was two and three years ago, where our fans make a difference in the game. They did that today."

After the Panthers took a 13-3 lead with 9:40 to go in the game, CovCath drove 65 yards to the 10-yard line, directly in front of the Elder cheering section and band. After the referees silenced the band for playing loudly, the cheering section turned up its own volume. The Colonels committed two false-start penalties on their first two plays from the 10.

What's the issue, BF? The fans were loud. That's part of sports.

cshs81, it wasn't the kids being loud, it was the band... after the band got told to shut it down, then the Elder fans got loud, not before...

Really, has anyone seen a Referee tell a High School Band to stop playing (and again, it is against the rules) at a high school football game? Anyone? And this happened three times....so he (referee) must have realized what they were doing and why......

I would love to be the fly on the wall in the principal office at Elder on Monday morning when he either pats the band director on the back, or tells him he embarrassed the school by showing such poor sportmenship......

cshs81 I have no problem at all with the kids getting loud, but the band to purposely play to interrupt the other team is a bit much. If you find it is OK for the band to do this, them Colonels Crazies to go out and purchase 505 air horns for yourselves to have and unleash such a noise that it will make everyone in the stands at Saturdays game against Dixie deaf when Dixie has the ball.....

Highlands blows them out. 37-7.

HAHA   Are you serious:laugh:

:thumb: Agreed

I think Highlands has to establish some sort of air attack, or at the least, a threat of it. Kramer is obviously better than either CCH back (and world's faster), but I still don't think HHS will be able to move the ball all that effectively on the ground unless Elder has to play you honest. If HHS can get anything from Cecil in the air, they can win this game. If Elder can put 8 or 9 guys in and around the box and load up on the run, Kramer may find it hard sledding.

I for one will be rooting hard for the Bluebirds this week to do what CovCath was unable to -- shut the GCL up.

Male put a bunch in the box and HHS seemed to put a few points on the board??
