Please elaborate.... Bogus would be your comment since you failed to explain as to why you deem Bolus = bogus

If you read the Bogus rankings, no explanation is required.

I think the big thing is that if a ranking is limited to evaluating the pool of candidates primarily from their own camp as the primary stage for developing a list, it opens itself to the perception of a lack of credibility or self-serving. Obviously there will be kids added to the list that are high profile that may not be at the camp so it passes the eye test. However, in a state where very few kids go on to play at the D1 level it amazes me when a ranking list fails to include kids who have heavy interest or offers from D1 schools. That shows me someone is not doing their homework or their list is more of a camp ranking that sprinkles in several other well known kids for appearance sake. My assumption is that rankings are for the purpose of college potential, so it matters what the rankings purpose is as well.

Cool and I didn't mean that in a bad way. Just something I've always wondered. I've never met him.

I'm shocked that you two have never crossed paths?

Did Hollingsworth grow? I did not think he was anywhere close to 6'3". I'll put it this way, I have seen a picture of him and Trevon Faulkner standing side by side during their 2016 sweet16 game and if he is 6'3", Faulkner is 6'5"

I'm shocked that you two have never crossed paths?

Maybe we have and just didn't know it. I wouldn't know him if he was standing beside me right now honestly.

The top 3 players in both the 2017 and 2018 rankings are Louisville Magic players which is what I think was being insinuated

I will elaborate some on this.

- The camps and rankings are purely a business as Bolus doesn't watch these kids because he is too busy cashing checks.

- An AAU tourney this weekend was $10 per person to get in and hosted at Lloyd High School. The games I saw were in the auxiliary gym and the floor was so old and slippery that the boys were sliding all over the place

- Two refs were running one game that were as old as the floor (easily over 70 years old) and they couldn't keep up

- the refs actually lost control of the game with some poor officiating

- after several physical fouls, a pushing match led to a coach getting punched by a player followed by benches clearing and several players fighting, getting body slammed to the floor, and one coach kicking another in the head several times.

- The bleachers then cleared and there were parents pushing and shoving while others worked to get the melee under control.

- the Erlanger PD had finally stepped in and got it under control and two paramedics were on the scene to offer medical assistance

- I felt like I was on Jerry Springer

- Bolus wasn't anywhere near this when it all occurred

- while they cancelled this game with ten minutes to go, Bolus allowed both teams to stay in the tournament as opposed to refunding their money

- One player and one coach had to sit out a game

- he called it a tournament but there were no brackets and clearly defined winner but rather each time just played 3 games then went home

- teams from Columbus were asking for their money back

- most were embarrassed to be a part of it

I will elaborate some on this.

This says more than enough.

I will elaborate some on this.

Holy Cow!

Bolus ranks the kids he sees at his camps and then the high profile players are added into that list, however, my son went to his camp last year and parents are able to watch--- there were quite a few high level players at the camp including kids from all over the country. At the very least, my son got to go head to head against some very good talent. If you make his rankings you have to be at least half way decent. I would say his rankings have at least some credibility, but by NO means all inclusive.

Rick actually helped me land my scholarship back years ago. I went to one of his camps and he ranked me an A plus shooter. My coach called rick and asked him about me and ended up asking me to come visit. We played while I was there and shot well that day and he offered me that day. So it can help

I didn't see Andrew Taylor anywhere on the 2018 list.....tells me everything I need to know

Andrew is listed 9th in the Kentucky Player Rankings

I believe he is better than ninth. I think he's top five.
