August 3, 201610 yr From around age 7-11 helped my neighbors sell ice balls during the summer at the neighborhood pool/park. At 15 spent a couple of summers working with my brother-in-law shoveling dirt into gas line trenches in yards at private homes. At 15 spent a couple of basketball seasons operating the score board for the Covington Recreation League at the Boys Club. From 16-17 worked at Golden Skillet Fried Chicken as a cook. At 18 for two summers worked for the Covington Recreation Dept. at a community neighborhood swimming pool. Admissions, Basket Room, Concessions, Janitorial etc... At 18 worked concessions at the Riverfront Stadium for Bengals games. At 19 began a 27 year career in computer operations/ data processing at the University of Cincinnati. In my late 20's for kicks and extra $$$ - worked concessions at seasonal festivals in Covington and Cincinnati like Octoberfest, SeaFood Fest, May Fest etc... In my late 20's just for extra $$$ I worked as a cashier at a gas station. In my late 20's I spent one year selling Amway and all the rigamarole that that entailed.
August 3, 201610 yr You worked for my uncle. Your uncle owed my mother in law money for about 7 years . She worked at one of his companies stuffing letters or something. Place went out of business. Finally suprised her one day and paid her. It was the only job she ever had other than raising 6 kids.

August 3, 201610 yr Before HS: cut grass HS : cut grass Rally's for 1.5 years - quit there for almost $1 raise at Dolls Market Dolls Market 1 year they closed just before end of my senior year so worked at Bowling ally in same shopping center as Dolls & Rally's and at the Dairy Delight in same shopping center ( Bittersweet across from Southern HS), until leaving for college Also worked laying carpet, tile, vinyl with 2 uncles in that business throughout HS and college summers mostly part time when they needed extra hands, paid well College: Fr year- work study for Ag professor copying his grad students research papers source material then whatever he could find for me to do. UK Commons cafeteria Summer- McDonalds, carpet/tile, fireworks Soph year- Kroger night stock, library at LCC, Summer- McDonalds, carpet/tile, fireworks Junior year just fall semester- Children's palace - After college- Airport Parking lot toll booth 1.5 years Small factory forget name- made weather stripping- quit when a snake was biting my boot killed it, clocked out never went back had my last check mailed to me Dimensions mall kiosk - 1 holiday season UPS - 8.5 years Geppeddo Mall Kiosk - 1 holiday season Bambi Bar 11 years - bartender / cook. - bar was sold Pizza Place Hikes Pt, manager/ bartender - 6 months left for full time Firstsource call center, full time but sucked 2 months Teleporformance call center USAA - full time sucked worse 2 months AAA roadside assistance call center- full time 5 months and going- current job In addition for when I was 8-14 my stepdad ran fireworks tents and I helped, then he went to work for them as route guy and I got a job in their warehouse. Later ran my own tent. When my stepdad went on his own I was his route driver. Would take my vacation at UPS to do that, once at Bambi quit doing it. This was the first year since I was 8 that my stepdad didn't sell fireworks in some capacity for others or himself ( I am 44). Also I started working with Louisville Bulls semipro football in 1993, first year just at home games working entrance gate, selling t-shirts etc. got paid to do so first year. Then started working more with team doing fundraising etc and stopped taking payment became volunteer. 2nd season did stats on the road, gate at home. In 1995 started doing stats all games, and took on more and more responsibilities gradually working and even organizing fund raisers, laying out tickets, programs, rosters, became team equipment manager repairing and painting helmets, etc. became Vice President of team. eventually became head statistician for MCFL football league for over 10 years, missed a league meeting and got nominated as Vice President, then President next year, then as Vice President again later. Worked with team until we shut it down after 2011 season. Was statistician for Louisville Fire Arena2 football all 8 years they existed. First year the owner went bust and league took over and never got paid for last game. Then Wil Wolfford bought team and came back, then last season team went bust again, never got paid for last 4 games. Soured on arena football still owed for 5 games total. August 3, 201610 yr I don't see how. :lol2: I always moved up. At least now, I only have to work 1 job. I may miss a particular job, like SBUX, but I don't mis working 2 or 3 jobs at a time at all.

My mom would never let me have a job in high school other than babysitting. No idea why but as long as she supplied me with some cash when needed, who was I to complain?!

I don't know about Trinity but HHS had a lot of 2 a day practices when my son played. Not much time to do anything but practice, hydrate and rest. He couldn't even keep up with his grass cutting business.

He couldn't even keep up with his grass cutting business. Believe it or not most schools have 2 a day practices, and at Ashland we even went away to Union College for camp for a week. I still kept my paper route, and all my grass cutting jobs. And still had time to hit the public pool in between.

I have retired 3 times, but get bored after 6 months and find something to do in education related fields.
August 3, 201610 yr Only ever had one full time job. Worked for Duke energy for 37 years. When I was hired it was the old CG&E. Have since retired and work about 20 hours a week at Cvg airport. I stay involved with high school sports, been the public address announcer for Holmes basketball for many years and also help with Cooper softball.
