ThrillVille Cardinal51 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I was thinking about where I have worked over the years, starting at age 16, until now(age 26). I think I have all of them: 1. Kroger- bag boy, first job and was fired after about a month. 2.SIRS(service industry research systems)- telephone survey caller, I was fired after calling in sick literally four weeks in a row. 3.McAlister's Deli- sandwich chef. I worked there during my junior and senior year of high school. I left for more money at Cengage. 4.Cengage- warehouse hand basically. Humongous book distribution center. I worked two summers there. 5.University of Louisville Parking/DPS- escort driver. I picked people up and drove them around campus after dark. That was the perfect college job, especially when it was nice outside. 6.Bed Bath and Beyond- easily my least favorite job. I quit after a few months. 7. American Eagle- I worked there for about a month. Worked less than 20 hours total. 8. Field painter- I painted playing fields for a local high school. I was basically paid under the table. To this day, it is the best paying job I have had when considering how much I got per hour. I think the school realized what a killing I made off of them, and my position was eliminated. 9.Dairy Kastle-ice cream chef and night manager. I'm still there and work once or twice a week. 10. Substitute Teacher-with the archdiocese and JCPS. I did this the year I was hired as a full time social studies teacher in the Archdioce. 11. Archdiocese of Louisville, social studies teacher. I was at the school for 3 years, but was hired with Oldham County. 12.Oldham County Public Schools. Social studies teacher. I was just hired this summer! Some of them were crumby jobs, but it's funny to think about how my attitude towards work has changed over the past 10 years. Where have you all worked over the years?

coldweatherfan Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Got my first paycheck job in 1974. Mowed grass, shoveled snow, and raked leaves prior to that. I would have to sit and think for a long hard time to add up all the jobs I've had. Not sure I could remember them all. I was never too good for any kind of work. Whatever I had to do to make money. Worked as many as 3 at a time at some points in my life. I've been at my current job for 23 years, but worked a 2nd job several times during the first 10 years or so.
