Lady Crusaders beat Lloyd Memorial on Tuesday 10-4 in seven innings.

 

Lady Crusaders scored four runs in the fourth on Lady Crusaders scored in the fourth on an RBI single by Carlie Townsend, an RBI single by Ashley Pollard, an error, and an RBI triple by Joanna Rebitski.

 

Townsend did her best to jumpstart the offense for Lady Crusaders, reaching base three times. She scored two runs and had one RBI.

 

Jessie Roark handled Lloyd Memorial's lineup with ease, racking up nine strikeouts. Roark allowed two earned runs, seven hits and four walks over seven innings.

 

The game's last lead went to Lady Crusaders thanks to a first inning rally that saw three runs cross the plate on an RBI double by Gabby Stewart and an RBI single by Teresa Urban.

 

After a quick strike from Lloyd Memorial, Lady Crusaders responded with one run in the third. Lady Crusaders scored on a passed ball.

 

After posting one run in the fifth, Lady Crusaders again scored one in the sixth. In the fifth, Lady Crusaders scored on an RBI double by Stewart, bringing home Kaitlyn Becknell.

 

First game of the season that Gabby Stewart did not hit one out. The seniors for St. Henry really stepped up with Gabby Stewart and Teresa Urban both posting 2 doubles each and Joanna Rebitski posting a double and a triple.

 

Props to Lloyd for an improved team with a lot of potential for the coming years. The game was closer than the score might indicate.
