Congratulations to the Breds!

Fantastic display of TEAM effort.

I am thrilled for their success. It's magical to see a team grow throughout the year and really hit their stride at the right time. Looking forward to them shining at Rupp and representing the 9th with class.

Real happy for Lawnboy13 as there's no more deserving fan. He's been there with them every step of the way so it's only fitting that he gets to witness his Breds play in the Greatest Show In Hoops. Looks like his Birthday celebration has been extended with tonight's victory, and I can only imagine that for him it must really taste sweet.

Got a real kick out of seeing Assistant Coach Pangallo jump up into Coach Dawn's arms. What a hoot as it was touching. I sure hope that someone snapped a picture of that.

What a great program and a great bunch of guys, I couldn't be more happy for them. This is no fluke as they showed tonight that they are completely deserving of what they've worked so hard to earn.

Go Breds! - Show the State of Kentucky what it means to be a team of class and go shine at Rupp as you represent the 9th Region!

Jimmy is a special man. If only people knew everything he really does for that school.

He's truly a wonderful person and friend.

As an "NCC" fan, It was very pleasant to see my team win. CCH was very classy in their loss... Trust me, it's not easy to lose a big ganes like that and shake the other team's hand... A lot of class in this game

Congrats to All the Breds! No small task and represent the 9th we are rooting for you!!

I got NCC in 2032 !!!

Somehow, I don't think the 'Breds faithful want to wait that long again.

Congratulations NCC! I'm definitely pulling for you against the 7th region but I think my PCC Commodores will knock you out in the second round. Best of luck and I hope to see you next Week.

No matter who they play, I hope NCC takes a beating in the first round. Cheering for whoever they play against.

Absolutely beautiful person. I have never seen him and not had to "move in for the real thing (Will Ferrell in Wedding Crashers)." There is no shaking hands, you get a smile and a hug. Really great guy. He plays Mr. Dawn's "good cop" so well after the scolding that's coming from the sideline. The Meyers, Pangallo, Kenny...you don't find coaches that care more about their players than them.

Congratulations on the Regional Championship Breds and continued success down State! :thumb:

You can say CVH v Weyer was a wash. The difference in the game was B Hall. Kid is smooth. CCH had no second option. Ballgame.

This kid played an unbelievable second half. Without him I don't feel that NCC could have stayed in it offensively without him controlling the ball.

Hats have to go off to CCH players and coaches. For being outmatched in size they gave everything they had to the very end.

Awesome game last night!!

You did say that...my point is why say it all?? I'm not complaining about CCH being shorthanded. They played with who they had.

Did I complain Blueboy. I only stated what might have been and was very gracious and happy for New Cath's victory. I guarantee during the game you were thinking if only we had those guys. The only difference is that I expressed what I thought on here. You know that you have thought what might have been in your mind a thousand times. Again, happy for New Cath.....WIN STATE!!!!

This Colonel fan is disappointed in the loss, but realizes the better team won last night. Congrats NCC!

The NCC guard (Hall) was the best sophomore on the floor. That being said, really proud of AJ, Aiden & CJ for their season. They will be better because of this experience.

I'm hoping NCC gets to take down St.X as recent Bellarmine star & St.X asst. coach (Thelen) watches a future Bellarmine star.

Represent Breds.

B. Hall is more important than B. Weyer for the breds IMO

Awesome game if u had no real rooting interest. I was pulling slightly for NCC bcos of the teams they've had recently and not winning the region. Cov Cath had two really nice years and I expect them to have more bcos they're a young team, quite possibly a pre-season #1 come November. Nick Ruthsatz was darn good but Aiden has a chance of surpassing him by his senior year. I really liked his game for a soph. Speaking of sophs Brennan Hall was the best soph on the floor. Really liked how he controlled the game and he calmed NCC down when it looked like they might lose the lead.

Weyer was an absolute monster last night. He is deff deserving of the accolades ive heard from all the northern kentucky folks. If Carson and Quentin are 1a then Weyer is 1b. Ive each one of them play and Weyer is on that level, at least last night. And that was playing against a top 3 team, I can only imagine how dominant he could be vs "lesser" competition. He'll be an all timer for Bellarmine.

Good luck to NCC, I'll deff making the trip to Rupp to watch them.

I stayed a little too late at the postgame celebration at Barleycorn's Cold Spring. It was great to see the packed house greet the team and coaching staff with a standing ovation upon their arrival.

Equally great is reading the class being shown here by the CCH fans and others congratulating the Breds. Very classy. I have to believe that legendary teachers/Administrators/and friends Carl Foster and Jack Kaelin are proud of both teams and the fan bases. These two teams have been going at it for 50+ years. They espouse the same virtues on and off the court. The pride, toughness, and gravel in the guts is typically on display when these two teams play. It's great basketball.

Great for Ron Dawn, Jimmy Pangallo and the staff. Very humble in victory, deferring all credit to the kids. They have tremendous respect for CCH and Coach Ruthsatz. They know the future at CCH is very bright and in very capable hands with Coach R.

Jimmy is basically the ambassador for the school and just about every kid in the 9th region. He is often seen hugging the downtrodden opposing player in defeat (McNeil of Cooper comes to mind) or congratulating them in victory. Jimmy is 50 years old but could still play out there today. His energy is boundless.

I thought Ron Dawn coached a fantastic game last night. Having Weyer slagging off of Mayer to keep him from driving, also allowing Weyer to stay down low. Then the master stroke of going zone (typically a four letter word for Ronny). They didn't want Ruthsatz and CVH driving for buckets or drawing fouls to extend the game at the line. Putting CCH on the line you are basically saying goodnight. They have shown to hit many a clutch free throw during Coach R's tenure. Ronny also showed great patience in sitting Hall for a quarter and a half. In the end it paid off as the sophomore hit one of the biggest 3's in school history.

The Seniors got it done. Cliché as heck, but they did it for all the teams that were disappointed to not go down state. Many of those players were in attendance and on the floor postgame.

I have posted on here prior that NCC, CCH, and Brossart play the best defense in the State. With apologies to a lot of teams I have not seen. My sampling is the 8-9-10 region and a little bit of the 11th. If there is a better defensive team than NCC right now I would like to see it. The Anderson twins get after you 84' x 50' (or 94' by 50') depending on court size and Weyer blocks whatever comes his way. Hall, Neff, and Moeves play great D as well.

Congratulations NCC team and staff. Next stop Rupp. The bracket is tough, but go get the Ring.

Lawnboy is buying for everyone at the Hyatt bar. Just put it on his tab :)
