I may be off a bit but I think the other 4 were a combined 8/32.

At what point do you give your bench players a opportunity? Is there no help there? Is there that big of a fall off in talent? Is depth that much of a problem? I watched the last two games of CCH and four of the starters played 95% of the minutes(or more). Some of them contributing very little in the stat lines. When you have starters that are not producing maybe someone else should get an opportunity. I know they had quite a few seniors and Juniors on the team. Could they have not been a help? I'm certain some could have put up some better stats than a few of the starters did. Outside of CVH and Ruthsatz I believe you could have made a few changes at times. Even if it were to give some players a blow for a couple minutes. I MO Walters could have helped last night provided CCH went to a zone. Asking him to guard Weyer man to man is not a good idea for CCH. But if CCH played zone Walters could have protected the basket and got some boards. At that point if Weyer played on the perimeter against a zone then the guards could have guarded him.

On another note. CVH and Weyer both had great games. Both are serious competitors and fun to watch!

I hate to be a Debbie Downer but this needs to be said, IMO.

To the mom sitting court side last night who I could see from across the court talking trash to the Colonel Crazies and flipping them off after the game - please stop. You are an embarrassment to the NCC community. I can't believe Ronny Dawn puts up with those antics from a parent. It is shameful for a grown woman to act that way towards high school kids.

For the love of God, don't tell me..........

Just like I have told my daughters, when you are out in public and you are wearing NewCath spiritwear.....you are representing not only yourself, but your parents, teachers, the fans, and alum of Newport Catholic. You are to be held to a higher standard when representing this school and not to bring shame to it. REMEMBER, you are a walking billboard for NewCath.

WHY is this so difficult for so-called adults to remember?

That seems extreme. Really blonde hair?

We saw the same thing and were talking about. That lady has some serious issues.

I am with you "Debbie".... I was sitting just a few rows behind this "lady"... yes, I am using it loosely.

If she is a mother to one of the players, or affiliated with NCC, I feel bad for them, she was a total embarrassment. I did not notice the Crazies doing, or directing, anything towards her... they may have but I sure did not see it. I found it quite comical that they were the mature ones and did not get sucked into her antics, they actually started laughing at her and from time to time, they did mimic some of her actions.

IMO... If they feel the need to send Security your way, for a little chat, you might want to rethink your conduct. As for your actions after the contest, not what I would call a gracious winner... or a "lady".

Myself and my father In law saw the whole thing. I said what is she doing? She's missing a heck of a game. They had BB&T personnel talking to her as well as the admins from CC. I WAS pretty close to the crazies and heard nothing extremes/vulgar. That lady needs to grow up.

If this was a NewCath fan then......As a NewCath School Board member, I would like to apologize to everyone for what happened, this is not what we want out of our supporters.

By the way, a few of us were waiting for a breakout game by NCC's John Ludwig. Last night was the first game that he did not play in all year.

LB13... I really appreciate your comments above, and especially the apology.

However, I also feel bad that it falls to those in the majority at a school; to take it upon themselves to account for the behavior of those who are definitely, in what I would call, the minority.

Ludwig is known as a sharpshooter not his Defense. NCC needed defense to win this game. With that said he may have a break out game at Rupp.

B. Hall is more important than B. Weyer for the breds IMO

Not having a bred in this fight I have to say its awesome to see someone try and put a wedge between team member right after winning the Region. From outside in, NCC has a great group of kids and they were extremely fun to watch last night.

Hall played a great game, but remember without Weyer you lose by 17.

Good luck at Rupp next week!!

Historically, coaches at all levels tend to tighten their bench come tourney time. Coach R sat CJ for about 10 seconds late in the game, but quickly had him back in at the next dead ball. Based on a long season, Coach R knew he had it in him, just didnt show through last night. He'll have more chances down the road. The idea of Walter & a zone isnt bad, but IMO, not when behind on scoreboard, especially with the shooters NCC has.

As for the "real"ly blonde haired lady, don't sweat it LB13. Rational people know it not to be a reflection on NCC. I'm sure we Colonels have had some non-flattering fans(?) over the years.

Well you got a couple more years of this I'm pretty sure...she ain't going no where and she ain't changing....good luck corralling that crazy

I by no means am I condoning what she did and to be honest I have no idea who it was. I am wondering if it has anything to do with the tweets the NCC players were getting during the day before the game, I heard that from some students. The tweets were mainly going to Weyer from my understanding. Still not an excuse for what she did show some class and represent your school. I hope I am not out of line in bring this up, just going by what I heard.

It was a great game and I thought both teams showed each other respect and class, kudos to the administration from both schools.

Probably time to get rid of Ruthsatz he just doesn't know who to play Lol! Only one of the top coaches in Kentucky.

Wait a minute, there were "tweets"? I thought that Ruthsatz put the clamps on that? I to have heard there was stuff said and it reminded me so much of what happens during the football season and lo and behold we see the same result.

I would say having 2 bigs out injured also contributed to a shorter bench.

I don't know who it was from though and I believe it happened after the game as well.

I do not believe they are saying it was the CCH players sending the tweets.
