First and foremost, congrats to Ben Weyer, the Breds, and all of their fans. While I'm super-bummed, I am really happy for Ben to get the monkey off his back and have a chance to hit the big stage at Rupp.

Secondly, to Andy Flood, I love that kid and while I'm super disappointed for him, worse is seeing your son crushed that he will never see Andy play again at CovCath. Andy is the type of kid I wish everyone could actually get to know; such a fun, fun kid.

Third, to the CCH sophomore class: tonight didn't go as you hoped, it happens, but learn from it and funnel it into two great years coming up. You guys, with Cole, have a chance to do great things next year. Life is about learning from disappointments, they happen, but they make you stronger. There are better days ahead.

Fourth, Cole, you are a beast. Next year can be special for you and your team. Thanks for being the young man you are.

Lastly, to the Breds, handle your business next Wednesday, rep the 9th, and WIN STATE!!!!

The final stage of the CVH era coming in 10 months.

Covcath couldn't throw it in the ocean. They tightened up and just kept chucking up bricks. It also hurt not driving and getting to the bonus.

BEN WEYER

Don't use that nonsense, what did Weyer have 10 + blocks? Hard to throw it in the ocean when it's getting thrown back in your face.

They shot 25% from 3. That's poor shooting. Covcath had 5 less turnovers and won the rebound battle. You have to make shots though.

I was at the game and Weyer completely intimidated CovCath defensively in the paint. The CovCath players were thinking about him each time they drove the lane, even Von Handorf. Weyer was the reason CovCath had no choice but to launch a lot of 3-pointers.

I think that had A LOT to do with Ben Weyer. How many blocks and rebounds did he have?

Ben played great, 16 boards, 7 blocks and 22 points. When Hall went out in the first half, CC came back and took the lead. When Hall came back in in the 2nd half, NCC got back to business. Very good high school basketball game. Good luck to the Breda in Lexington.

Weyer had atleast 9 blocks. Heck there were 2 or 3 times he blocked the same kid twice on consecutive attempts.

His first half was huge and Brennan Hall's 2nd half was the difference. Congrats to Coach Dawn and his staff as well as all of the NCC fans. The past 3-4 yrs they have had some outstanding teams and missed getting to Rupp.

CVH is such a great player to watch, he has such a quick release and singlehandedly brought the Colonels back in the 2nd qtr. Tough night for the sophomore Fredrick, he just couldnt get a shot to fall but he will be a dandy the next 2 yrs along with Ruthsatz and Mayer.

They have so much talent on that bench and coming up, the Colonels will be right there again next year.
