Just starting or just wrapping it up?

Just starting. Read the intro chapter last night. My hunch is that he and I will agree in a lot of areas but reach several difference conclusions.

Anyone who goes after that loon Thomas Malthus in his first ten pages is OK by me.

Make sure to post your reaction once you get through it. I think he makes a compelling argument and frames his criticism of the unparalleled wealth accumulation he's identified as a need to save capitalism from itself, something his critics have too often ignored.

Makes sense. It's the same thing Keynes' critics ignored. He believed that without a few reforms in key areas, economies on the verge of ruin would inevitably look towards socialism as an answer if nothing was done to prop them up. What he got was countless accusations that he was a socialist.

Finished this one today. 300 pages of nothing happening, 30 pages of action, 30 pages of wrap-up. Not a huge fan.

First Baldacci book I've ever read. The story was good, but I thought the lead character & his angle were great. The second one in this series comes out in April and I'm looking forward to it.

Bought the first book in the Will Robie series a few weeks ago & hope to start that one soon.
