March 31, 201610 yr I've not read the Alex Cross series, but I have the Michael Bennett series. I would suggest reading the books in order. I though Zoo was mediocre as well. Well...guess I'm going to have to find some more books. I just randomly saw some James Patterson books for $2 at Half Price Books, and it was 50% off weekend, so I bought them for a dollar. Guess I'll need to do a little research. The show they made from it was mediocre too.

March 31, 201610 yr Finished this one last night: [ATTACH=CONFIG]55541[/ATTACH] Only the second book by James Patterson that I've read, but I really enjoyed it compared to Zoo, which I thought was just mediocre. @Randy Parker, and others that have read him...I have a few others by him, a couple that are in the Alex Cross series or Michael Bennett series. Does it really matter much if you don't read them in order? I can't remember if I read this one or not. Will have to check it out. I got tired of the Alex Cross series. I read all of them for awhile then lost interest. I prefer the stand alone books or the newer series like "Private" and "NYPD Red". Although I have not missed any from the Women's Murder Club series.

It's very good and gives you a lot to chew on. I've moved slowly through it since I stop to think every few pages or go back and re-read sections. It's a terrifying account of a fascinating period of history.
April 1, 201610 yr After completing "Killing Floor", I decided to approach the Jack Reacher series in a chronological order, as opposed to written/published order. So instead of "Die Trying", the second book written, I'm going to book 8, which is chonologicaly book 1.
April 3, 201610 yr Felt like it was Christmas last night. I had bought this a couple of months ago along with a couple others. I read the other ones first, and my wife ended putting it up on the bookshelf and I forgot about it. With the weather today, spent it inside and finished it by this afternoon. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

April 3, 201610 yr Let me know what you think of Murder House, hoopty. Very suspenseful. I was completely surprised by the ending. Author successfully leads you to think that you have it all figured out, then switches directions. Total roller coaster ride kind of read. Creepy, too. My pulse was elevated several times while reading it. (According to my FitBit ) Overall a good read and I recommend it. :thumb:
