Brandon Phillips (NOT) Traded to Washington

We would likely all do the same in trying to get every $$ we could especially with a greedy agent like a Scott Boras. Like we always discuss on here who among us wouldn't like to earn $100m in our lifetime.

This is the time to hop on the bandwagon. The Reds are no longer a sinking ship, they actually have a direction they are going. And I think it's something fans should get behind

They are going nowhere with Price.

They are going nowhere with Price.

That's why they don't mind leaving him as the manager during this dumpster fire.

I hate seeing Frazier & BP go, but it's what is best for the team.

Feel bad for the young Reds fans who don't understand.

Sounds like BP is very close to signing off on the deal.

You getting that via Twitter?

I don't think he'll be here past this year. But, with all the young kids coming in(pitchers especially), he may be the best babysitter for now. :idunno:

The following was from Jim Bowden on ESPN:

There has been no progress made in the negotiations with Brandon Phillips on the proposed trade from the Reds to Nationals and now is looking unlikely the deal is consummated unless the Reds change their stance dramatically according to a club source directly involved in the negotiations.

Just proves Phillips is all about Phillips and cares nothing about winning. If he doesn't agree to a trade, I just sit him on the bench and let him watch Peraza develop.

I'm with BP on this one. Look out for #1. Make them pay you.

Damn I guess I'm losing a neighbor. Cool guy with a fleet of sweet whips.

I'll miss his red Aventador.

I agree! Plus, perhaps winning isn't the most important thing to him. I am not sure of his exact family situation, but I have heard he has kids that live locally, maybe he doesn't want to be away from them. He's going to get paid if it is here or Washington, if they don't want to pony up, he has earned the right to make this decision!

I feel bad for the beer vendors this year.

Wonder how Harper is gonna handle a guy like BP? This is gonna be a circus with those 2 going for the spotlight. And I hope BP steals it from him.

I was thinking the same thing.

I was thinking the same thing.

This could turn out bad for the clubhouse. I personally don't like Harper. I like him as a ball player but thoroughly dislike him as a person. Too cocky for me but thats just my opinion.
