July 20, 200620 yr Kent Mercker is the reason we should all tie our sons right arms to their sides and teach them to throw left handed.
July 20, 200620 yr Like I posted earlier, Majewski should have been out of the inning. Denorfia just blew it in the field. OK. He still didn't get the job done, right? He's now given up 7 hits in 2 innings pitched. He has failed to do his job each time he's been called upon.
July 20, 200620 yr Debbie Downer... I hate to be a buzz kill but what part of Phillips, Clayton, and Larue (they are due up next) makes you think we will hear "And this one belongs to the Reds?"
July 20, 200620 yr Well somebody gets clutch two out hits today. That's one of the reasons why the Mets are running away with the Eastern Division. At least I'll get a save from Wagner out of this one.
July 20, 200620 yr OK. He still didn't get the job done, right? He's now given up 7 hits in 2 innings pitched. He has failed to do his job each time he's been called upon. You're right, he still gave up the winning hit, but he sure didn't get much help.
July 20, 200620 yr Maybe Wagner will hit BP between the shoulder blades with a 98mph heater and "knock" him out of his funk!
July 20, 200620 yr At some point, this Majewski kid is going to have to get someone out. Early signs are that this trade has not added any value to the Reds. In the newest SI, one AL GM is quoted as saying he would be embarrassed to even propose the trade. Lets hope he (sooner rather than late) turns out to be wrong. I dismiss anyone's opinion that relies on a DH to manufacture their runs...
July 20, 200620 yr Oh well 3-4 with the Mets....not too shabby in my book. It is when you realize how many opportunities you had to be on the winning end today.
