September 3, 200620 yr That ump is giving the outside corner a lot. It's been like that all day. You HAVE to adjust...
September 3, 200620 yr Well the Reds end up the West Coast with an abysmal 2-8 record. Not what the doctor ordered. :fight: :fight:
September 3, 200620 yr That game may be the straw that broke the camels back. Yep and if they think the Kearns/Lopez trade was a good one....they are still smoking the drapes. Majewski has nothing...period. Bray may have some upside but he hasnt performed any better than some of the pickups we recently grabbed. If they don't put together a 5 or 6 game winning streak... its over and they will be satisfied with a 500 record.
September 4, 200620 yr A winning streak on this next homestand or they are done. Kearns had a huge day today! Lopez has 33 stolen bases.
September 4, 200620 yr Not looking good in Redsland at all. We have to sweep the Padres when they come here this weeekend now, no question.
September 4, 200620 yr Please tell me why in the biggest game of the season Majewski was put into the game. Why was Coffey removed so Cormier could face Piazza who was 7-15 lifetime against him. Narron absolutely choked this game away.
September 4, 200620 yr Please tell me why in the biggest game of the season Majewski was put into the game. Why was Coffey removed so Cormier could face Piazza who was 7-15 lifetime against him. Narron absolutely choked this game away. Throw in the fact Griffey did not want to sit yesterday. He asked Dunn if he was kidding when Dunn told him he was sitting. Hitting .293 with good numbers versus Wells. Narron has lost it.
September 4, 200620 yr I thought I heard a certain lady begin to sing several days ago!! Was she heavy set?
September 4, 200620 yr Was she heavy set? Yes, singing soprano. I just dont see the fire in the Reds' players eyes. They are satisfied with mediocrity. Until Krivsky and Castellini start demanding more....they will continue to get these results. How many losing seasons have we had in the past 10 yrs?
September 4, 200620 yr Can we all agree now that Jerry has done nothing special and , in fact, has really done nothing that the previous manager (or most managers for that matter) could have done? He's OK. Average. Not great. He's lucky the Reds got off to a good start which resulted in him getting a new contract. If I were him, I would not get too cozy just yet. If I'm Bob and there's a good or very good manager available, I eat Baseball Guy's contract and make a move. Solid citizen. Seems nice. Not a great manager.
