My understanding is that the group backing the games at WKU has a deal with KHSAA that covers all expenses of the games allowing KHSAA to keep 100% of the gate receipts. If an entity in Richmond (of Lexington, or Louisville or anywhere) steps to the plate and does the same then the KHSAA will listen.

 

My understanding is the games leaving Louisville had less to do with availability of dates and more to do with expenses KHSAA would have had because no one in Louisville made a bid to sponsor as good as the one in Bowling Green.

How about this then. Since all you eastern folks want EKU to host, let's add Murray State to the list and make it 3 locations. 2 can host the semis every year and the third can host the state title games.

The low gravity would seriously hinder the Pirates power running. In fact it would really help passing offenses. You sure?

I really enjoy the games in Bowling Green as it gives me an opportunity to get back to WKU and also visit my son there. However, I think Richmond would be a nice change of pace. Distance never affects my decision on whether or not to attend the games.

While I wpuld prefer Louisville to Lexington I will say that there is little to no chance of a successful season for UK causing scheduling issues as that is highly unlikely overall.

KHSAA will go anywhere that gives them the best deal financially and can handle the expected crowd. That is just smart. No matter where you have it, someone will not be happy.

You are right... Since, if UK was in the SEC Championship game, they would be playing in Atlanta.

I bet UK will get in on the games now that they got the turf and they will be open
