Gotta feel for JC a bit. After finally ditching Highlands and CovCath, now they have to deal with this monster in the making. Still a great season, though. Best in school history. Matney will get them over the hump eventually.

I'm with the above. VERY impressed w SW Defense! Weird seeing Brandon Smith the Coach after pulling for him as a player just a few years ago. That family has quite the ring collection!

Congrats South Warren! What does the roster look like for them next year? I know they take a hit, but it looks like they have a lot of key players returning. Will they be the favorite next year?

I said couple of weeks ago, the west semi state game will be for the state champion in years to come.

I said Shelby was the second best I. State.

Key players returning offense

QB And finals MVP Ryder Litten,

WR CJ Hayes, RB Namvong, TE Zack Hayne and On defense DL #62 Jacob Lacy. I know there are some others and some of those on offense contributes on defense as well.

 

These are the ones that immediately come to mind that will return.

 

South first take a hit but I will go on record like I did two years ago the defense want miss a beat. They may give up some more points and yards but this is where Smith concentrates and he has done a great job over the past 3 years with the defense.

Congrats to Coach Smith and SW on being the 4A State Champions. The future looks bright for them.

Congrats SW. JC will go back to work this off season and hit it again next year. Spring practice is only 4 months away.

Congratulations to South Warren, fans, and supporters. This will be a very tough team for anyone in 4A to beat for some time to come. I can definitely see why many in WKY are wanting to see a game between them and Bowling Green.

For the Year South allowed 89 Points through 15 games. The most points allowed in a game this season by South was 14 by Pope John Paul II of Tn. Next most was 12 by John Hardin. So only two teams got to double digits on South this year.

 

Total rushing yards allowed for the season was 649 that's 559 through 14 games and 90 in the final. Avg. rushing yards allowed a game is 43.26 per game.

 

Total Passing yards allowed 1013. That's 973 through 14 games and 40 in final. Avg. passing yard a game is 67.53 per game.

 

Total yards allowed was 1662 through 15 games with Avg. of 110.80 per game.

Congratulations to South Warren, they were a very, VERY good team. Last night they continued to do what they have all season, turn defense into offense by putting up 2 TDs off scoop and scores. Huge win for them and their program and I wish them nothing but the best going forward.

JC needs to be in the weight room. SW was in the backfield all night. JC also needs to put in some pass plays besides out of running formations.
