One thing that hasn't been discussed is whether the official thought that Mayfield gained control of the ball before the end zone. We all know he didn't but maybe the official did.

Sorry, some here have been very busy, duty calls, had to go over to the school and help rearrange the trophy room. A lot of hardware had to be moved to get the new one in the center.

 

The way the NCC O was moving the ball I say we give them 7 and ignore that we were inside their 5 at the end of the game

Doubt what you want. I remember it being a very serious incident with a very serious litigation which included Riddel, officials, the KHSAA a couple of schools. Right after this they changed the rule that ALL kicks crossing the goal line becomes dead. Rule changes come about to prevent incidents that have happened before WHEREVER they happen.

Now whatever problem you have with NKY get over it. No one claimed that the world revolved around NKY. The only obscure thing here is your thought process...
