Thing is, the trophy is in the MHS trophy case and it ain't going nowhere.. Doesn't matter what may have happened.. It's all speculation.. I hate it for NCC and also hate it for Mayfield.. Despite that, it's over, get over it, punish the officials or whatever.. But, it's not either teams fault and when all's said and done, not going to change the outcome..

 

Never said the outcome would change and wow that's a no brainer the trophy is in MF and just think how the NCC players may feel that a blown rules call could have and I said COULD HAVE change the game. You have to admit it did change the game and could have had an affect on the game.

And, like I said, hate it for both sides, but, it is what it is and regardless what you or I or anyone else think, it's not changing, so, no sense in giving yourself a heart attack about it and may as well move on. No one knows what would have happened and it doesn't matter. It's over and done with. Move on. Put a cap in it. Whatever it takes..

NF Football Rules Changes - pre-1981 - Football.Refs.Org

 

Here is all the rule changes since forever. The site has them divided up in about 5 year increments.

 

I do not see anywhere that the rule was changed, meaning it has always been the rule. Maybe, I overlooked it?

I STAND CORRECTED... I was informed by one who is much smarter than I(which are many) that what was apparently changed was not the rule but the mechanic of when the ball crossed the goal line the whistle was to be blown immediately to indicate ball was dead. On free kicks as well as scrimmage kicks...

Come on now BRD, that is saying the obvious, of course we were the better team. After a slow first half offensively where we ran like 5 offensive plays we controlled the game and the longer the game went on the more obvious it became. I don't think NCC ever crossed mid field in the second half other than the 1 long TD pass. I am just making light of the posters here that have nothing to hang their hat on after the loss than their if's and butt's. MF was, is, and will always will be the better football team in 2015
