November 30, 201510 yr It is some type of spam/virus you picked up on your phone, this is not a BGP Ad. I agree it is not an ad, but only happened when on BGP. I've not seen it again though.
November 30, 201510 yr Everyone, I understand for many of you, you only get the spam/virus when you are surfing BGP but it has nothing to do with BGP. Obviously the link I provided is from people complaining about the same virus and I doubt any of them have even heard of BGP. In my simple way of thinking about things, basically it looks like some iOS applications are getting injected with some malicious code and based on a matrix of factors that code intentionally attempts to mislead you to believe that a certain site (BGP in this case - a gazillion other sites in everyone else's case) is serving you an advertisement when really it is a scam/virus/spam. I am sorry everyone, there are a lot of crooks out there, and they get more and more sophisticated all the time. ========================== On a personal note, if BGP was serving Ads that intrusive, I would be making a fortune from advertising. Just saying.
