It will be interesting to follow Caldwell County in the playoffs. They appear to be who I thought they were. Good enough to make a deep run in the playoffs.

Tough loss for Caldwell, I don't think many anticipated this one going this way. The 3A playoff race will be very interesting to follow.

Even in defeat I think you have to throw Caldwell firmly in that mix at the Top of 3A as a Title Contender...they played a whale of a game and have a strong chance of going very deep in the playoffs.

 

As for Mayfield... that's why they are Mayfield... Champions come back TWICE.

Looks like Caldwell is a little tougher than most thought. Class 3A is gonna be fun to watch over the next couple weeks. Good matchups all over the state!

I'm no 3A expert by any means, but after watching Caldwell play, I definitely consider them a contender. I was glad to see Arnett come back and have a good 2nd half throwing the ball for MF. He is gonna be needed for the Cards to make a championship run. Congrats to both teams and to the Caldwell fans, you have a great team! I would love to meet up with all of you in BG!!!

Best game in Kentucky tonight! Too bad the refs were horrible. Didn't call half of the stuff and then when they did call something, it was very questionable. I hope this gets Caldwell fired up for the playoffs because it's going to be crazy on the west side!

Surely you jest. Worst called game ever I agree. That whole crew should be run out of the state. If the KSHAA allows that to go on any longer there should be a change in their leadership.

Boy what a fun game to watch. Both teams should make deep runs.

I agree with "Dream" the refs pretty much gave the game to Mayfield all night.

 

Several VERY bad calls against Caldwell!!!!!!!

 

A Touchdown called back on a fantom call. I could go on and on... And not to mention the time had ran out before Mayfield spiked the ball to kick the field goal. They had no time-outs, but the refs put 2 seconds back on the clock and let's them kick a field goal.

 

I don't know for sure but I would bet money the ref that was making all the bad calls was from Mayfield.

 

It's sad when the refs control a game like this.

Despite a couple of phantom calls, one a td called back, Caldwell still had the game won, should have won it.

Great programs know how to close out games.

 

This Northern Ketuckian thinks very few do it better than Mayfield. Congrats!
