If Cov Catholic doesn't have the facilities to host the game Friday night, we would love to welcome them to come on down to Lawrenceburg.

It's a nice drive, and I'm sure it's pretty this time of year, but I don't see it making a difference. CovCath should take care of business even if they have to play Friday night by candlelight. This is the reward for a brutal schedule, and they'll be looking for someone to take out a lot of frustration on. (I know. Lousy grammar, but I gotta be me.)

Anderson Co. has some issues. Their starting line has seen several changes due to injury. I don' differentiate between O-line and D-line because the same players play both. Which, for a 5A school is an issue IMHO.

Not if they win the region. They would host the semi-state.

 

Would they host even if they came in second in their district? That's way unfair if they play a district champion (Which, I'm assuming would be Pulaski Co.)

Then by all means, cut a check and pitch in.

 

Would not donate a penny to that school. They have been crying poor and blaming neighbors for 30 years. If Ky said "get lights or play all away games", they would have lights up in 10 seconds. CCH just received a huge sum of money to give them a new field. They can afford it. They should play all away games until they get lights. Most everyone not affiliated with CCH or one of your Bluegrass board buddies feels the same.

I would imagine Dixie HS stadium just up the road is available next Friday night. Don't know the financial hoops CovCath would have to jump through to use it though.

Darn- and here I thought you were just a concerned citizen.

The money they received (by applying for an NFL grant- maybe you should try it) covered maybe half the actual expense for new turf.

If they really could afford it and the surrounding issues with the city weren't really an issue, you don't think they would put them up? What on Gods green earth did they have to benefit from no lights? Cov Caths own people have been screaming for them forever. Fortunately it looks like they are on the brink of making it happen.

Yep, odd region champs (1&3) host semi finals in odd years ane even region champs (2&4) host in even years.

Because of the screwed up way KHSAA runs things. Just add it to the long list of things they have no clue about on how to run high school football in the state of Kentucky.

Speak for yourself. It matters to me none if CCH has lights or not, that's up to them. And I'm and Anderson Co fan.
