Hard to call it a rivalry, yet beating Cov Cath is 1 of 2 key factors in a successful season? What?

 

 

Not a rivalry, but it is still an essential game to win to lock up home field advantage for the second round matchup. I just can't call it a rivalry when Cov Cath has gone almost a full decade without beating Highlands. Even though it is not a rivalry, it is still an essential win.

Congrats to the Birds as they will enjoy a 6-game winning streak headed into a likely rematch at the Fort. Tough season for the Blue Colonels but I would not be surprised at all to see them hosting the state semi-final game after Thanksgiving.

One correction JOAT, HHS has already clinched the #1 seed and are district champs. They do not need to wait until next week to make that claim.

 

Woodford County will get to come to FT and showcase "the best offensive line in the state". Will be a treat to see those boys match up with #54 (Robinson).

A little bird did recently tell me that they conditioned a lot less in the off season this year? whatupwidat? that was always the bird way.... we will condition twice as good as you. I do have a problem with that if it is the case. frankly I don't believe it though, weinrich was more of a stickler than Mueller when it came to conditioning to my memory.

 

I share your disbelief, can't see conditioning as an issue. My son hated the days Mueller would be out and BW ran the conditioning.

No disputing the results. Maybe someday the Colonels will start turning it around. We're splitting hairs on the definition of a rivalry. My guess is several members of your own fan base still consider CCH a rivalry. But, at the end of the day, arguing over the definition of a rivalry is silly, so I'll stop. Good luck the rest of the way. Hoping both sides earn a rematch.

Congrats to the Birds! For those that think this is not a rivalry just ask the kids. Birds need to keep working because the difference in this game was a couple of plays. Can't rest. Stay focused - stay positive and keep working.

You realize they are matched up with a very weak district. HHS will get Woodford County then Anderson County. CovCath will get Montgomery County then travel to Madison Southern.

 

The N Ky schools will be favored in all these contests.
