They don't seem to utilize Angel's athletic ability either. It looks like he is only in about 20% of offensive plays.

 

Agree. Threw him the ball once that I recall but may have been more. Seems they could put him and Pitzer out wide and throw the ball up to them. I realize Pitzer is going both ways but he appears to have more value to this team on offense right now.

Some of the posts on here simply crack me up. Take your hatred for Highlands and CovCath to threads about your team. So tired of hearing how bad each team is and they needed this to win and they needed that to win. The simple fact is two teams played their heart out and one team had to win. Some people like to get on here and hear themselves talk I think.

 

These teams may well meet again in November and then again they may not. What I do know is that Highlands plays Grant County next week and Covington Catholic plays Dixie next week.

Hard fought game by both teams, fun to watch. Nice win for highlands. They had a few series where the offense really "clicked".

Not sure what game some of the posters watched. This game was exciting from play one. Back and forth action, fans from both sides fired up, some nice long drives, good defensive efforts. The Birds got/made the breaks they needed to win it. Fun game to watch.

This is the worst HHS team I can remember in recent times.

The HHS "swagger" is completely gone. There is no fear when they walk on the field anymore and just seem like a regular decent football team.

 

Again, insightful. What you mean by "swagger" would only seem to come if Highlands was dominating teams, which they aren't this season. But, the Birds are in the part of their schedule now that matters and they are getting it done.

I'd say both Ds played well but that may be more about the inability of the opponent's offense. Neither specials teams played well. Obviously, neither offense played well.

 

I saw two non-explosive teams today that needed mistakes from the other to have a chance to win.

You realize they are matched up with a very weak district. HHS will get Woodford County then Anderson County. CovCath will get Montgomery County then travel to Madison Southern.

 

The N Ky schools will be favored in all these contests.

CovCath should just surrender their football program to Highlands and end this rivalry. This is a joke.

 

Cmon man... it was a close game. The colonels didn't follow a few times and it cost them that was it. a few plays and its the other.... chin up there will be a round two in fort Thomas. it will also prob be close.

Both teams will have early playoff exits. It was a tough game to watch.

 

Yeah im sure that Grant Co will be hosting Pulaski in the Semis... Who is going to show them an exit before they meet again... please tell me????
