The BC o-line didn't protect Josey real well, secondary got burned and there were several dropped passes by the WRs. I wouldn't say Smith was outcoached our guys just got out played.

LexCath is not good upfront and they were still getting pressure?

what the great Chuck Smith out coached. Don't forget he was apart of the worst coached UK football team ever!!!!!

I'm curious. How good are the teams in Chuck Smith's district? I don't know and just am curious. Maybe there is a reason he is coaching where he is due to the competition level. I mean I don't think he walks on water like some do. Am I way off base here?

Field position is going to be huge starting Round 2. Boyle's Special Teams are not really on par with some of the other top teams in the class and when you get in a game where a every 10 yards of field position will matter it could be a major handicap for them.

What surprised me even more was LexCath turning around and squib kicking as well. After taking the lead they were essentially playing with fire giving Boyle a short field.

Boyle hasn't had any special teams issues all year until tonight as a matter of act their special teams play has been exellent all season they had Collins down either 21 or 28 to 0 before Collins ever took an offensive snap. My point is Catholic is to good to give them the ball close to midfield on almost every kick if it's not working stop doing it. The couple of times Boyle did kick the ball deep they didn't give up any big plays. The squib kicks were my issues with the coaching.

They just played LC who is in their District. Garrard Co is as well.

Beyond the District, the Region contains Central. Enough said.

Not sure your point but hope that helps you out.

Boyle-top 10 in 3A

Lex Cath-top 10 in 3A

Garrard County-top 10 to 15 in 3A

Western Hills-not in top 20 of 3A.

Coach Smith is coaching in one of the toughest districts in 3A. He didn't come back to BC to play cupcakes.

Ask Wesley Woodyard, Danny Trevathan and Avery Williamson how poor of a college coach he was haha

You can question coaching all you want guys.

I will take Coach Chuck Smith any day of the week.

Any high school football program would be blessed to have him. You cant sit there and tell me if your program had a coaching vacancy and Chuck Smith applied, you wouldn't hire him on the spot.

I'm not sure the gap between Western Hills and Garrard County is that large

After seeing the score from last night I think you are right. I was just going off what has been said in the weekly rankings threads on here. Not sure if that means Western Hills is better than we thought or that Garrard isn't as good as we thought.

You have really selective memory, I suppose that makes you good for business.

In the state of Kentucky, being a top 10 team in a particular class does not have much merit. There are only just over 30 teams in each class.

Neither Boyle County or Lexington Catholic have their best team this season. I say the 3A champion comes from Jefferson County this year.

They are playing in the NFL cause there mommy and daddy gave them the athletic ability to not cause your boy Chuck!

Believe what you want. Evidence will reveal otherwise.

I would say a little of both... Though I have been told Garrard was firmly in control midway through the 4th qtr. I heard they gave up scores on a freak deflection and one blown coverage. If you take away those plays, Western Hills had less than 200 yards of offense.

Saw the Hook & Ladder play... It wasn't really a traditional H&L - the route combinations were more like a mesh concept (Post/Shallow backside with a Go/Dig on the front). Catholic hit the dig and pitched it to the shallow guy. Sort of like the play Boise State ran against Oklahoma(?) in the Fiesta Bowl, I think.
