October 5, 201510 yr I...unfortunately...am a slob by nature. And I absolutely dislike that part of me. I wish I weren't, but I seem to be like Pigpen from the Peanuts. Everything can be spick and span, and within 5 minutes everything is in shambles. My desk at work is terribly cluttered...my bedroom is a disaster area. But when I try to keep things picked up/in order as I go, it just seems to be a never ending task and exhausting trying to keep up with it, so things pile up till I can't stand it any more, I get on a huge cleaning spree, everything looks great...for 5 minutes, then it all starts over again.:no: I wish I knew the secret.
October 5, 201510 yr I'd say I'm firmly in between the two. I don't mind a little clutter, but there's a point that it just gets to be too much and I have to clean it. My wife is definitely closer to a slob. She pills up crap all over the place and does so in no time at all. She does do a whole lot of cleaning when she's upset or mad about something. So anytime I come home to find her on a cleaning mission or to find the house spotless, I know someone (usually me) did something wrong. :lol2: I always joke with her that I need to make her mad more often.

October 5, 201510 yr I am a neat freak. Unfortunately nobody else in my house is. Just this morning as I got out of bed at 430 am to get ready for work I stepped on a bunch of paperwork my wife put in front of the closet door. I made sure to wake her up to move it.
October 5, 201510 yr My desk is a wreck and back in the day when I worked in an office my boss told me I was very organized. I asked him if he had seen my desk. He said yes but I knew what was in all of those piles. Organized but messy. I'm a bit of a hoarder too.

October 5, 201510 yr Now that wife & I are true empty nesters without 3 kiddos, things have gotten neater. Although I'm told I leave my shoes wherever they "fall off" my feet. She def has more clutter:sssh: She's headed out of town for 4 days tomorrow, 1st time I'll be home alone for an extended period since I can't remember when. I'll be better prepared to answer question by end of week.

October 5, 201510 yr I'm by no means a neat freak, but I loathe seeing laundry laying anywhere. I always pick it up. Get that from my mother I guess.
