October 4, 201510 yr I agree. However many times he has no chance to do even that. When I was listening last night it seemed like there was a time or two where he was on the run and then was sacked. If he can run away wouldn't he have some time to throw it away since he is out of the pocket? I think he was sacked 5-6 times last night. Surely at least on one of those sacks he could have thrown it away. On one of the sacks I got a text from someone at the game and he said Towles stared down a wide open Timmons and then took the sack.
October 4, 201510 yr I went to this one (first ever BTW) and it was complete HORRIBLE. Towels does not need to be starting! He don't know how to throw the ball away when being pressured. He was sacked like 3-4 times if not more. He stayed in the pocket once when it was collapsing . We left with like 6 minutes to play and EKU had went up 27-13. Shouldn't have been thinking this was a blow out and looking ahead to Auburn. Why did you leave? Believe me, you were not alone, but you missed the best part of the game. I rolled back into Union at 1:20 in the morning, it was worth staying.

October 4, 201510 yr As much as anything this week I believe that the coaching staff hopefully learned a lesson. Speaking during the week about playing backups was just fodder for EKU (who has a nice team). Then making some knee-jerk in game decisions to pull players (e.g. pulling Foster for a critical late game punt that backfired) almost cost them the game. Not having Williams certainly did not help but it was a poor effort by the coaching staff.

October 4, 201510 yr No reason for anybody to believe/think UK will beat Auburn or Louisville right now other than hoping that's what happens. Charlotte and Vandy should be two wins though. If the team that played Missou shows up there is every reason to believe they can beat Louisville and Auburn.

I know you can't necessarily site compare but after watching both UK and NC State from the sidelines against EKU there was no comparison in the level of their offensive and defensive line play. NC State's was much better. UL just beat the Wolfpack at Raleigh so I don't know if I'd say they should beat UL but they certainly can beat them. They'll have to improve their line play however.

What would give Kentucky fans the right to be seething! The facilities and lack of commitment from the university have been an issue for many years! The administration along with Mark Stoops and staff have made great strides in moving Ky in the right direction, but to expect this team to run roughshod over a solid Eastern Ky team would be extremely arrogant, and this is an attitude that UK has not earned! One brick at a time!

October 4, 201510 yr The one gripe that I do have with both CWS and even Rupp, the concession food is mediocre at best. I thought with the improvements to Commonwealth, we would have an upgrade in selections. There is room for improvement in this area.
