October 4, 201510 yr I get that. But Stoops mentioned he would play this game regardless of the situation. Said he needed to get him some snaps no matter the situation. Then prior to the game people were saying that Dawson said Barker would not play. He did not, but I'm curious why? Is he hurt, in trouble, or is Dawson running the show?
October 4, 201510 yr What was the deal with the kicker tonight for UK? The regular guy hurt or was Stoops giving someone else an opportunity? Will Drew Barker be walking through that door?
October 4, 201510 yr What were Towles second half stats? I bet his 4th quarter and overtime stats look pretty darn good. Played much better, still not quite excusable.
October 4, 201510 yr Surely, KY can get 2 more wins this year, right? I feel fairly confident that between Auburn, Tennessee, UNC Charlotte and Louisville- all at Commonwealth- and Vandy in Nashville, that we can get two wins. Bye week to prep for Auburn- this is the kind of game that Towles ends up playing solid in. We are in good shape after eeking out a win tonight, IMO.
October 4, 201510 yr Played much better, still not quite excusable. You can check my posts on the matter, I am the last guy making excuses for Mr. Towles.

No reason for anybody to believe/think UK will beat Auburn or Louisville right now other than hoping that's what happens. Charlotte and Vandy should be two wins though.

October 4, 201510 yr That's what I said. :lol2: You can take out everybody except Charlotte and Vandy, was my point.
October 4, 201510 yr You can take out everybody except Charlotte and Vandy, was my point. Okay- I disagree. Nothing that Auburn has done that makes me think that UK can't beat them at Commonwealth. Same with Tennessee and Louisville. The question for UK is which Towles shows up? Good Patrick gives them a chance to win all of those games. Over a week to get the o-line healthy and to get Boom back in the good graces of the coaches before Auburn. We'll see- it is UK, so they could get run off the field in these games. I think they have more than just a punchers chance in all the games I listed, however.
October 4, 201510 yr I went to this one (first ever BTW) and it was complete HORRIBLE. Towels does not need to be starting! He don't know how to throw the ball away when being pressured. He was sacked like 3-4 times if not more. He stayed in the pocket once when it was collapsing . We left with like 6 minutes to play and EKU had went up 27-13. Shouldn't have been thinking this was a blow out and looking ahead to Auburn.
October 4, 201510 yr I understand the weather was bad but so many people left at halftime of a 7-6 game. Even saw people leaving before the OT began.
October 4, 201510 yr I don't know how you walk out of that game and say Towles was an issue. Sure for the 1st half he was brutal, but his play in the 2nd half won UK the game. OLine is still an issue. DLine was terrible outside of CJ Johnson. Linebackers couldn't tackle. Secondary was softer than cotton. Kicking game sucked. But..... UK won. A 7 point win counts the same as a 50 point win. Move on to the bye week and beat Auburn
