September 29, 201511 yr Seems UK ruins great talent and makes average talent good. The list could go on and on of talent not used or ruined. Despite the number of pros in the NFL that would contradict that thought, sure.
September 29, 201511 yr Author Despite the number of pros in the NFL that would contradict that thought, sure. I think NFL could turn Timmons into an awesome slot receiver. Dawson doesn't work with Timmons like Neal Brown did, in my opinion. Who is the Wide Receiver Coach?

September 30, 201511 yr Looks like he's being targeted 2 times a game as opposed to 6 per game last year. Is it his confidence the problem or is it a lack of confidence in him by PT? Or is it just the circumstances of the games? He is certainly a valuable weapon when he's on his game. I think PT throws to the first open receiver during his progression. Besides that PT doesn't have the time to figure out who it is catching the ball, as long as they are wearing a UK jersey.

September 30, 201511 yr There's a lot of talent in the WR core, not enough balls to go around to keep people happy. Johnson, Baker, and Badet will always get the majority of the balls thrown to them because they are simply better. Timmons, Bone, etc. are going to have to fight for the scraps, and make the most of those opportunities. It's not that there is something wrong with him, he simply isn't good enough.
September 30, 201511 yr I think it has more to do with the younger players are just as good if not than better than Timmons. The little things will be huge, like field punts and kickoffs, so if he can do those two I'm a happy fan.
September 30, 201511 yr I hope UK doesn't forget about their pass catching tight end. Came up big in the clutch last week.
October 1, 201511 yr Made a very poor decision against Missouri by fielding a punt inside the 5 yard line. Also fumbled a punt late in the game. Actually I think he is too risky to be fielding punts, maybe we should put King back there. He has just never lived up to the hype
October 1, 201511 yr I hope UK doesn't forget about their pass catching tight end. Came up big in the clutch last week. Agreed. :thumb: Loved seeing Conrad have a big game. Made a very poor decision against Missouri by fielding a punt inside the 5 yard line. Also fumbled a punt late in the game. Actually I think he is too risky to be fielding punts, maybe we should put King back there. He has just never lived up to the hype I think Timmons was in the backfield a couple of times against Missouri. I don't have a problem with letting him run the ball or throwing him short passes out in space to see if he can make something happen. But I'm with you on the punt return thing. He makes me a nervous wreck.
October 2, 201511 yr Stoop's and Vince have really upgraded the receiving corp. I think this is the difference in Timmons. They simply don't need him in the same role he played his first 2 years.

Or MAYBE coverage is being rolled to him and others are open on those plays? This isn't directed at you but there is usually another team on the field playing defense after a week of film study and practice.
