I think the kid has potentioal, he just isn't playing with confidence and runs a little "shaky/scared"?

 

 

Maybe, nerves? Maybe, the surgery did something to him? He's slipped on two potentioal big plays this year and his Fair catch at the two yard line I don't agree with.

I agree, he is playing nervous. Whatever the QB coach did for Towles this past week, maybe he can do for Ryan.

I get nervous too lol. I think they need to pull him aside, and talk to him, ask him if everything is ok. I think a 2 on 1 meeting with Dawson/Stoops and Timmons could be a good idea this week.

 

EKU should be an easy slice this weekend, let Ryan get multiple touches, maybe 10 targets this game, let him be on kick off return, put him in the backfield. Ryan has too much talent to be wasted and nervous.

 

Let him get comfortable and get going, we are going to need him these last years at KY!

He will be ok, dont forget-- he lead UK Freshman/Sophomore year and already is 67 yards away from passing the 1,000 yard receiving mark only other players to do it in 4 years is, Robinson, Yeast, Cobb, and i forgot the other one. Ryan can break 1,000 yards in 3 years..

If he can't help out against competent SEC foes by his junior year how big of a factor will he ever be?

You can probably count on two fingers how many times he has actually returned a punt. Almost always a fair catch or he gets away from it.

He has not improved at all from last year. He always had iffy hands and now his punt returns have everyone holding their breath. He has a lot of yards over 3 years only because he got a ton of looks the last 2 years as if they kept

Trying to get out of him what they thought they recruited. It never surfaced.

 

He just isn't as good as we thought he'd be. Last year he seemed to play nervous, this year he seems to play as he is trying to convince himself he can get the job done. He just seems Like he has lack of confidence.
