September 20, 201511 yr Bengals go to 2-0 with the win. Dalton with 3 TD's...each were things of beauty. However he did miss several other open receivers. Hill pretty much benched in the second half. Fortunately, Gio rose to the occasion and had a very nice day.
September 20, 201511 yr Good win! Dalton had a Couple beauty TD's but as said also had somes real ugly throws to open receivers. Wish Marvin wasn't so conservative. Will cost them sooner or later. Not trying to get a 1st down in the last possession same as not trying to get at least a FG before The half is not how you should Coach.
September 20, 201511 yr Today is the perfect example of why I don't think Dalton is horrible but why I think this team could win many games with other qbs too. There is so much talent on this offense and quite honestly this offense could be even better than what it has been. Dalton made some great great throws today. However he also missed some wide open guys, throws that he has to hit. If he hit those throws we don't even need a stop at the end to win. Today was a good day for Dalton though, but just shows this offense could be even better.
September 20, 201511 yr I said it from the start of last year that Hill seems like a special running back to me and needs to be the main back, which he proved. However he needs to hang on to the ball. Giovani played great today and is a great change of pace back and showed today we have two very good backs.
September 20, 201511 yr I'm happy with both Defense and Offence. Chargers look to be a good team and we beat them at home, something we have to do to be considered good ourselves. AFC north looking very stout, looks to be fun season to watch.
September 20, 201511 yr Glad to see Marvin keep Hill out of the game after the two turnovers. It's important to do those types of things to show that if you don't perform, you don't play. Now the hard part....starting over this week with Hill at the TB spot with a fresh start like this one never happened.
September 20, 201511 yr Wow, you guys are rough on m boy, AD. He played well without ant turnovers. He threw the ball away a few times very smartly. This is something he has not done well in the past. He missed a couple, but he was really good today. Gio was money and the DL stepped up after the first couple of drives. Can't get burned late Dre or it might have been miscommunication. Overall, 2-0 and that is all they can do.

However it doesn't change the fact that I believe many qbs would have done well with this talent around the qb. So his missing some throws that other qbs can make, make games like this be closer than what they have to be. Plus frustrating watching him always lead green out of bounds on deep passes down the side line. So very happy with him because this was a good game for him and made some very good throws. However if he hits the other wide open guys a qb should be able to hit, then we don't need a stop at the end. However that is Dalton so I am glad we got basically good Dalton today.
September 20, 201511 yr Even I can't fault Big Red today. He missed a deep ball down the sidelines. But he always does. Can't seem to grasp the concept that even AJ can't catch a ball 5 yards out of bounds. Other than that he did what he is supposed to do, which is manage the game. Hand it off, hit a few throws and stop throwing it to the other team. He's never going to be an elite thrower that takes over the game on a consistent basis. He's more in the Wilson mold, just not as good with his feet. Penalties must stop. Cant give up a field and a half in two weeks and expect to beat great teams. That said, they have done what they need to do, come out on the right side of the scoreboard. Flacco has been lighting up the stats, and it's got his team 0-2.
September 20, 201511 yr The balls to AJ and to Marvin were money. If they can stay healthy, this offense can be top 5 in the league. GB, NE, maybe Arizona, Pittsburgh, maybe Denver if Kubiak ever backs off. They're in that class.
September 20, 201511 yr To be fair, Hill was held up and his leg was bent in an awkward direction on his first fumble. And I'm about 90% sure his knee was down but it went the other way.

GB, NE, maybe Arizona, Pittsburgh, maybe Denver if Kubiak ever backs off. They're in that class. The talent is there to be a top 5 offense. That is why I am hard on Dalton now and believe many qbs could win games with this team. He needs to do what he has failed to do and that is prove he can still play sell when it matters most.
