Even I can't fault Big Red today. He missed a deep ball down the sidelines. But he always does. Can't seem to grasp the concept that even AJ can't catch a ball 5 yards out of bounds. Other than that he did what he is supposed to do, which is manage the game. Hand it off, hit a few throws and stop throwing it to the other team. He's never going to be an elite thrower that takes over the game on a consistent basis. He's more in the Wilson mold, just not as good with his feet.

Penalties must stop. Cant give up a field and a half in two weeks and expect to beat great teams. That said, they have done what they need to do, come out on the right side of the scoreboard. Flacco has been lighting up the stats, and it's got his team 0-2.

He is just like Wilson when the Bengals play bad to average teams or not under the lights. The big difference is Wilson still makes plays in the big games too, and Dalton does not.

Wow, you guys are rough on m boy, AD. He played well without ant turnovers. He threw the ball away a few times very smartly. This is something he has not done well in the past. He missed a couple, but he was really good today.

Gio was money and the DL stepped up after the first couple of drives. Can't get burned late Dre or it might have been miscommunication.

Overall, 2-0 and that is all they can do.

People just be tired of him missing wide open receivers down field is all. We've said he had some beautiful TD's today. He still has problems with downfield passes is all. It's not hating on him, it's speaking the truth.

I took a couple of things away from today's game:

Gio ran very hard and looked to hit instead of being hit.

Geno makes all the difference on the D line. He took a lot of double teams on freeing others up and when he got one on one, he dominated.

I'm not sure I'd let Whitworth go after this season. He's still very good.

One bad and this goes back to last year and first two games this year. Offense has to stop burning timeouts, especially in 2nd half.

On a side note, does any qb in nfl talk more than Rivers? He is non stop. I would love to play on his team. His passion is obvious. He would look good in orange and black!!

He played "well." He left points on the field though. That's concerning.

Almost every QB will tell you they left points out there. He had two throws that left points Green deep, but the worst was Sanu in the end zone. He had separation and AD just missed.

I will take that over the picks.

We all will take those over Int's. It's still troubling how inaccurate he tends to be with open recievers down field. That is all we are saying.

I know that is a problem and maybe always will be. I think his problem is he releases it too quickly because he does have one of the quickest releases in the league. He throws much better down the middle, it's his deep sideline throws where he throws it out of bounds often that is maddening at times.

Love his passion and leadership...A real pro!

Here's the only question you need to ask yourself. IF the Bengals go 16-0, and get beat in the first round of the playoffs, with Andy Dalton, does it really matter? Until AD wins a playoff game things haven't changed one bit with this organization, ZERO playoff wins in 25 years.

The problem is he has the talent and he sometimes leaves even more points out there than most. Which doesn't hurt in these games, but in the big games or prime time games those misses end up hurting them. Just like the second Houston playoff game, and the throws in the second half against the Chargers in the playoffs.
