September 23, 201511 yr This whole QB "controversy" thing has taken on a life of its own. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. This team is 2-1 and has a lot of winnable games on the schedule. It's ridiculous the amount of flak PT has taken this week. Some of the concern is definitely warranted, but full blown panic attack from a lot of this fan base is ignorant. He's the QB of this team and will be going forward no matter what any fan or media has to say about it. Let PT be PT, support him, and let the chips fall where they may. So in other words, get over yourselves and worry about other things. This team will be fine.
September 23, 201511 yr Kentucky Football: Time to Consider Options at QB - A Sea Of Blue A solid take on it although I think he under emphasizes the impact of poor line play and the drops.
September 24, 201511 yr Most talk of this QB controversy is probably gonna die down in a week when fans' focus shifts to that glitzy hoops practice that's right around the corner.

September 24, 201511 yr Most UK football fans are usually only interested until midnight madness. Some of us stick it out throughout the full season while many others couldn't tell you the score of the game Sunday morning but will know the scouting report on the 3rd string PG.
September 24, 201511 yr Most talk of this QB controversy is probably gonna die down in a week when fans' focus shifts to that glitzy hoops practice that's right around the corner. Exactly. Focus will go away from football until Thanksgiving week. Be obnoxious again for about 10 days, and then disappear. Rinse and repeat every season.

Some of us stick it out throughout the full season while many others couldn't tell you the score of the game Sunday morning but will know the scouting report on the 3rd string PG. That's usually the case, but I think there's a different feel this year. There is excitement around the football team because most feel like there's been an upgrade in talent. Having said that, the team has to get it done on the field. A loss to Missouri will shift a lot of fans' attention to hoops. And if they lose also to Auburn, what Deuce says is spot-on.

Some of us stick it out throughout the full season while many others couldn't tell you the score of the game Sunday morning but will know the scouting report on the 3rd string PG. I wouldn't consider those folks football fans. Those of you who keep going and remain interested throughout the year, regardless of the outcomes, are the real football fans.

September 24, 201511 yr Matt Jones is an absolute moron. But to BBN he's the greatest thing next to God. :ohbrother: He's done a great job keeping people interested in football this summer.
September 24, 201511 yr Matt Jones is an absolute moron. I'm not a UK fan, in fact, while I'm football-neutral for UK I am decidedly anti their hoops team. That said, calling that guy a "moron" is ridiculous. You may not like his information, or his delivery, but you'd be awfully short-sighted not to tip your hat to what he has built for himself.
September 24, 201511 yr What's this hoops thing you guys keep talking about? Football is the greatest sport ever created.
September 25, 201511 yr Even Marco Rubio thinks Pat should be the QB. Of course, he's a UF fan so that does diminish his credibility.
