After we win the next 2 games we'll be 4-1 and the ship will be righted. One game doesn't make or break the season. What a fickle bunch... One loss and no bowl game???
September 20, 201511 yr I agree, I'm not sure Barker would be much better, I think he would be worse honestly. That might be, but how will we know? Stick him, if anything it may light a fire under one or the other. UK tossed a great opportunity out the window last night.
September 20, 201511 yr This feels like the end of the Rich Brooks era when they were so close to beating UT but just kept coming up short. UK's defense played well and allowed opportunities for the offense to show up, just couldn't get into a rhythm. UK,s OL was dominated by UF's front seven. But Coach Dawson has to help out the situation to slow down the pressure. I still am confident with Towles, and the entire offense has to find a way to put a full game together.
September 20, 201511 yr The O line got manhandled in the 1st half. That and Bakers TD drop killed the Cats. Second half the protection was a little better but Towles was absolutely terrible. The defense overall was really good. I felt like they needed to run some quick screens to slow the rush and get the skill guys in the open to make plays. The play calling seemed to respect the Florida DB's way to much. You gotta challenge em IMO.

He is NOT an accurate passer, having said that the receivers could stand to make a tough catch every now and then. If Baker is gonna be the "yapper" of the team then his actions need to start backing up his talk

This was a game UK was supposed to win and with the showing they had they were by far the worst of the two teams playing. It shouldn't have been that convincing for Florida and although the score was closer than the reality of the game. No TD's against that team speaks volumes. People have to admit going into that game it felt like a must win to teach bowl eligibility the 2nd half of the season is tough. They needed to get their wins in the first half to have a reasonable shot.

September 21, 201511 yr This may have been mentioned but if so I missed it. This was the fewest points UK has allowed against Florida in the 29 years of the streak. This was the year to end it and the offense failed to do their part.
September 21, 201511 yr Maggard was asked about Shannon Dawson. He said if your QB isn't accurate, your OL can't block effectively, and your receivers are inconsistent you go the "safe" route.
September 21, 201511 yr I personally hate the shotgun hand off. If Towles isn't gonna use the option to pull it and run I think they should get rid of that shotgun hand off.
