September 20, 201511 yr 8-24, 2 INT, 126 yards. 6 sacks. Some of those sacks were on him as well. His pocket presence needs to improve a lot, needs to step up into the pocket instead of going outside, also needs to run more in my opinion.
September 20, 201511 yr 1. The Barker drop changed the game altogether. That was a huge swing, never recovered. 2. Florida front line defense was great 3. Play calling still odd at times. 4. Couldn't score on 7 plays from inside the 5 yard line. 5. Defense has been the strong point and should have nothing but praise. Lack of depth and constant wear will cause big plays to happen. They've exceeded my expectations already. 6. Towles is struggling bad. He's not near enough consistent to be the QB. Holding the ball way too long, and a lot of overthrows tonight.
September 20, 201511 yr Dorian Baker crushed the team's morale at the beginning of the game by dropping a pass right in his hands. HE cost us 7 points (& consequently, the game).
September 20, 201511 yr I'm not a big fan of Towles, but UK's O-Line played terrible tonight, it wasn't all his fault. There is no doubt the line struggled, but when your throws are high, low, behind receivers it ramps up that pass rush even more. A few more completions makes them respect your WR's and give help, thus opening up the rush a bit more. Florida had zero respect for our passing game tonight and we didnt make them pay once. The scheme could be improved as well. Use backs to chip rushers, go two TE sets, use the FB to block more, etc. Towles was under pressure, but no more than the UF QB. Im tired of being satisfied with being OK. Its time to step up and make the plays to win and I have yet to see Towles do this consistently enough. Even though the offensive line was suspect tonight, the plays were still there late in the game and the passes were just not on target. Just my opinion.
September 20, 201511 yr Towles hasn't been great but I'm not sure Barker would be better and yes he could be worse, a lot worse potentially. I agree, I'm not sure Barker would be much better, I think he would be worse honestly.
September 20, 201511 yr He made 2 good throws all night. Every short to mid range throw he's terrible. He throws high or behind the receiver. Not to mention his inability to know when to throw the ball out of bounds to avoid the sack.

September 20, 201511 yr Note to self ..... don't get so excited over a road SEC Win vs. a bad Carolina team that you pick this U.K. team to beat any other SEC team not named Vandy (and that's questionable). 1. Defense played well 2. O Line is bad 3. Towles is not your QB. On a positive note, I have now thought of a way that America can do away with any threat from ISIS ....Use Patrick Towles, he can over throw anyone.

I don't think this game was all Towles fault because of how bad the Line played, but you are right about his throws, they were all over the place! It was driving me nuts watching it.
September 20, 201511 yr UK's defense was outstanding. The interception gave Florida a 19 yard field, and they scored the first touchdown. After that, the defense only gave up score the rest of the game! That's outstanding in my book.

The D has been surprisingly good so far. The offense stinks.
